Speaker A

You already know what to do.

Speaker A

Today is the day we build the engine to get it done.

Speaker A

This is the how and the how of the how.

Speaker A

Welcome to the show.

Speaker A

Tired of the hype about living the dream?

Speaker A

It's time for truth.

Speaker A

This is the place for tools, power and real talk so you can create the life you dream and deserve your ultimate life.

Speaker A

Subscribe, share, create.

Speaker A

You have infinite power.

Speaker A

Welcome to your ultimate life.

Speaker A

Today is the day we're going to talk about how things get done.

Speaker A

We've talked about getting prepared.

Speaker A

We've talked about the mindset and the structure we need.

Speaker A

We talked about that.

Speaker A

There's nobody preventing you.

Speaker A

There's no gatekeeper.

Speaker A

There's no barrier.

Speaker A

Only the story in your mind.

Speaker A

You don't need anyone's permission, you don't need anyone's agreement to either be become what you want to become or build the business you want to build.

Speaker A

Like you have a dream of changing the world.

Speaker A

I know you do.

Speaker A

Maybe your world is 10 people.

Speaker A

Maybe it's a hundred.

Speaker A

Maybe it's a thousand.

Speaker A

Maybe it's $100,000 business.

Speaker A

Maybe it's a million dollar business.

Speaker A

Maybe 10 million.

Speaker A

None of those are impossible.

Speaker A

All of those are doable and within your grasp.

Speaker A

And it takes a process to get there.

Speaker A

We don't live in a Harry Potter wand world where he goes and a little pink, you know, stream comes out and boom, there's a pile of gold.

Speaker A

We don't live there, okay?

Speaker A

Or at least I don't know how to do that.

Speaker A

But I do know how to create anything I want.

Speaker A

And I do it all the time.

Speaker A

I'm on a mission to reach 300 million people.

Speaker A

And you know what?

Speaker A

I'm going to reach it.

Speaker A

I've got six weeks left.

Speaker A

I'm going to make it.

Speaker A

We're going to reach 300 million people with the message of whipos.

Speaker A

Worth, identity, possibility, ownership, sovereignty.

Speaker A

That combination means you can create anything you want.

Speaker A

You've heard me say that a hundred times or a thousand times.

Speaker A

This is episode 1000 and something, right?

Speaker A

And it's true.

Speaker A

It's true every time I say it.

Speaker A

And it will be true forevermore.

Speaker A

We know from physics, our thoughts change the probability distribution.

Speaker A

Our thoughts make things happen.

Speaker A

And it doesn't happen as fast as we want.

Speaker A

Like we could say, oh, boom, here it is and there's a box of gold bars on the porch or health, boom, suddenly I'm healed.

Speaker A

Sometimes that happens, but that's pretty rare.

Speaker A

So what we're going to talk about today is actually how, how do things happen?

Speaker A

Okay, so what we're going to give you what I'm going to give you today.

Speaker A

And here's the promise.

Speaker A

I'm going to promise to give you tools that will work.

Speaker A

It will set you up every day to be powerful.

Speaker A

It will make you keep your promises or help you keep your promises.

Speaker A

It will help you deliver what you promised to yourself.

Speaker A

You're going to deliver.

Speaker A

The promises to yourself are the most important.

Speaker A

So there's principle one of the how of the how.

Speaker A

The promises you make to yourself are the most sacred words you utter in the universe today and every day, period.

Speaker A

They're more important than any other promise.

Speaker A

Because if you can't keep your promise to yourself, what you say to others is always subject to suspicion.

Speaker A

And you will disagree.

Speaker A

You will say, no, I keep my promises to other people, but I don't keep them to myself.

Speaker A

You're lying.

Speaker A

If you don't keep your promises to yourself, you keep them maybe to other people, but it is performative.

Speaker A

It is not with integrity.

Speaker A

It is not with your full heart and soul.

Speaker A

Your promises to yourself, your integrity to yourself is job one, always and forever.

Speaker A

So do that.

Speaker A

So let's learn about how to do that.

Speaker A

Here is a daily playbook I'm going to give you a daily playbook you can run in 60 minutes that will set you up for delivering today.

Speaker A

Step one.

Speaker A

I'm going to tell you a story.

Speaker A

There was a day I took the dog for a walk.

Speaker A

And this was some years ago in Phoenix.

Speaker A

And we lived across the street from a development that was going in.

Speaker A

And it was some years after that big 2008 crash.

Speaker A

That's 17 years ago.

Speaker A

But it was some years after that.

Speaker A

And so the development had come to a complete screeching standstill.

Speaker A

And the streets were in, and there were some show homes built, but nothing happened for a long time.

Speaker A

And so I used to go walk in there in the morning for like an hour with the dog all over the place.

Speaker A

And one morning I got up to go for a walk and it was a great day.

Speaker A

I got up, I did some, you know, personal things.

Speaker A

I didn't have the powerful morning ritual that I have today, the invincible powerhouse that puts me in Olympic level form.

Speaker A

But I had something and I was out for a walk.

Speaker A

And as I went for a walk, I got an email.

Speaker A

And the email was a disaster, or at least I thought it was.

Speaker A

I interpreted it, interpreted it as a disaster.

Speaker A

Boom.

Speaker A

Wrecked something.

Speaker A

And then I got a phone call, another disaster.

Speaker A

And then I got another one.

Speaker A

And it Were like four things, maybe five, one after another, that were huge disappointments.

Speaker A

This fell through, that wasn't happening.

Speaker A

And just on and on, right?

Speaker A

And it was so heavy, it was so heavy on me.

Speaker A

I sat down on the curb and I'm in this development walking around, but there's nobody there.

Speaker A

It's all empty lots and a few fences up and stuff.

Speaker A

And over there in the distance, it was a big development like a mile by a mile, so the show homes were far away.

Speaker A

But anyway, I sit down on the curb and I wanted to start to cry.

Speaker A

Literally.

Speaker A

It was affecting me that powerfully emotionally.

Speaker A

And then, and then, you know, of course I've got this dog with me, right?

Speaker A

And the dog's out for a walk, so it didn't want to sit down.

Speaker A

And then it sees a rabbit dog sees a rabbit jumping around, trying to chase the rabbit and everything else.

Speaker A

And I thought, how funny.

Speaker A

The dog and I, we're both here in this very same space and I am like sucking wind, I am hurting.

Speaker A

And the dog, he's not having any of it.

Speaker A

He's jumping around happy.

Speaker A

And I thought, wait a minute, if we're sitting here on the same place, well, the dog wasn't sitting, but I was.

Speaker A

And the dog's jumping around, then it isn't anything except it's in here.

Speaker A

It's a dance in my head.

Speaker A

So then the thought came to me and thought, okay, if I can go from just top of the world to bottom of the barrel in five minutes with a few messages, then I can retrace that.

Speaker A

I can go back the other way.

Speaker A

I can not do that because the whole dance is in my head, right?

Speaker A

And the dog, he's not having any of it.

Speaker A

So that was the, that was the thing that started.

Speaker A

Started me on this whole quest of creation, more intentional and powerful creation because I created the misery.

Speaker A

And yeah, I got some events that happened, some.

Speaker A

An email and some phone calls and things stuff happened.

Speaker A

But I allowed that to smash me to, to face in the gutter, you know, emotionally destroyed, end of the world, doom scrolling doomsday, all that stuff.

Speaker A

And I thought, now wait a minute, if that can happen in one direction, it can happen in the other direction.

Speaker A

So that got me thinking seriously about some questions.

Speaker A

And here are the questions.

Speaker A

Okay, question number one.

Speaker A

What am I believing that gives this feeling, power.

Speaker A

Well, that was easy to identify.

Speaker A

I believe that I'm doomed.

Speaker A

The world is ending.

Speaker A

The failure of these things, clients falling through, it's going to mean financial something.

Speaker A

Oh no, I'm in a Something, something.

Speaker A

I don't remember the details of them now, but that's what I was believing.

Speaker A

It means death financially or career wise or embarrassment or something.

Speaker A

It means terrifying consequences.

Speaker A

Now, I don't know that's true because all I got was a message that this thing isn't happening.

Speaker A

But I interpolated that and went on to, you know, death of some sort, right?

Speaker A

Failure, and then, you know, reflection on me and all the rest of the things that that means.

Speaker A

And so I thought, actually, I don't know what it means, but what I'm believing is, this is catastrophizing.

Speaker A

So then the next question was, okay, is it true?

Speaker A

And the answer is, well, I actually don't know.

Speaker A

What I know is true is I got an email, I got a phone call.

Speaker A

That's what I know is true.

Speaker A

I know the contents of the call, at least right now, are this thing I was depending on isn't happening.

Speaker A

And there were several.

Speaker A

So for each thing, it isn't happening or not happening the way I wanted.

Speaker A

That's all I actually know.

Speaker A

So what I was believing is, and it means financial catastrophe or embarrassment or failure here.

Speaker A

And I was taking this lever, this, this inflection point and catastrophizing, jumping off a cliff with it.

Speaker A

So the answer to the question, is it true?

Speaker A

Well, it's true right now in this moment that I got an email that says X or a phone call, both that I know is true.

Speaker A

Does it mean all these other things?

Speaker A

Actually, I have no idea.

Speaker A

I don't know if it means that.

Speaker A

Well, that lowered the pressure a bunch because other things could happen, Right?

Speaker A

Then the next question's even more fun.

Speaker A

What else could I believe?

Speaker A

Well, I could believe this is a good thing.

Speaker A

I can't see how that's true.

Speaker A

I could believe it's a neutral thing.

Speaker A

I could believe it will change in a minute, that if I make a phone call and do some things, I might be able to adjust.

Speaker A

I could believe that.

Speaker A

Wow.

Speaker A

I could.

Speaker A

Sometimes it's hard to do that because if you're in the middle of a real catastrophe, it's hard to say, what else could I believe and see past the ingrained belief?

Speaker A

So there's another way to ask that question.

Speaker A

We all have people that we respect and admire and to ask what would so and so believe here?

Speaker A

And if you pick, you know, your favorite superhero or some other person you know, that's doing really well, who, who metabolizes these things and says, what's the gift here?

Speaker A

You know, what they would be thinking they would be thinking, how can I fix this?

Speaker A

They would be thinking, why can this be good?

Speaker A

They would be thinking, what can I create from this?

Speaker A

I couldn't create otherwise.

Speaker A

You know that because you know them.

Speaker A

So if you can't do it yourself, then use someone else as a proxy.

Speaker A

And the next question is, what would they do with that thought?

Speaker A

Or what would I do with a new thought?

Speaker A

Well, I make a phone call, I'd regroup.

Speaker A

I. I internally realize that it really isn't the end of the world.

Speaker A

Like a nuclear weapon didn't fall on my house, jet engines not in my front yard.

Speaker A

People aren't dead and dying.

Speaker A

So there's lots of things.

Speaker A

So you get the process.

Speaker A

What am I believing that gives us power?

Speaker A

Okay, is it true?

Speaker A

What else could I believe?

Speaker A

If I believed one of these other things, what would I do right now?

Speaker A

And then take that action.

Speaker A

Even though you don't know what the outcome is, that is an immediate and powerful.

Speaker A

And it works every time.

Speaker A

Foolproof path out of that catastrophizing.

Speaker A

So I did it in that particular case, in five more minutes, maybe it was 10, took me five to get down, maybe 10 to back up.

Speaker A

I realized that there were some things I couldn't control right now at all, and I couldn't do anything about them.

Speaker A

But there were several things that I could do right this minute or as soon as I got home from the walk to, to find out more, to mitigate, to make some changes, or to find the gift.

Speaker A

I did it.

Speaker A

It worked.

Speaker A

And from there, I've created this entire curriculum and process about the truth of creating your life.

Speaker A

So that is a set of steps.

Speaker A

Now I want to go over with you what I do.

Speaker A

And this is again, the how of the how.

Speaker A

This is the nitty gritty.

Speaker A

Every single day when I get up, here's what I do.

Speaker A

I go through a DCP daily creation process.

Speaker A

Here's what it consists of.

Speaker A

But before I tell you that, let me tell you the outcome.

Speaker A

The outcome is I get more done, I make more money.

Speaker A

I live happier and more joyfully.

Speaker A

Okay?

Speaker A

And I live this ultimate life purpose, prosperity and joy.

Speaker A

It wasn't always that way.

Speaker A

I lived behind the eight ball before expecting failure, catastrophizing every event, seeing the worst in things, chastising myself all the time.

Speaker A

Living in self loathing and hatred, like deep hatred.

Speaker A

And at different times in my life, different depths of that negativity.

Speaker A

But I lived there for decades, so I know deeply about that.

Speaker A

Struggling with depression, it got to the point of suicidal Ideation and attempts even so really, really dark places.

Speaker A

But my point is this.

Speaker A

Here is the process.

Speaker A

Spiritual, physical, emotional, mental.

Speaker A

If I'm teaching you this, I said I'd give you something you can do in 60 minutes.

Speaker A

So here's 10-10-10 four blocks of 10 minutes to create yourself in a way so that you are invincible.

Speaker A

You keep your word, you ship and deliver on time.

Speaker A

Whether that's product or service or writing or if you're going to a job, showing up and doing the very best you can, performing well, making cash, making connections and just living a kick ass life.

Speaker A

The spiritual I put first because it is the foundation for me.

Speaker A

We all know there's something more.

Speaker A

Call it your higher self, call it God, call it the universe.

Speaker A

I call it God.

Speaker A

I have a personal relationship.

Speaker A

I have seen God.

Speaker A

I died and spoke with him in 2018.

Speaker A

But your ideation of that is yours and own it.

Speaker A

So own it.

Speaker A

And here's the key.

Speaker A

Do something in that 10 minutes to deepen that connection.

Speaker A

It might be prayer, it might be meditation, it might be stillness, it might be reading some sacred literature.

Speaker A

It might be reaffirming your own worth.

Speaker A

Now I have a process called a ptac.

Speaker A

I'm not teaching that right now today.

Speaker A

But if you want to know how to do it, it's in a book called Living with Purpose and Power.

Speaker A

If you don't have this book, it's the best book on the planet about how to find your self worth, how to use it every day and how to create miracles.

Speaker A

Best one there is.

Speaker A

So get it and read it and then do what's in it.

Speaker A

Read it.

Speaker A

Doesn't matter unless you do what's in it.

Speaker A

So the first 10 minutes is do something that connects you spiritually.

Speaker A

The next 10 minutes is do something that wakes your physical body up.

Speaker A

Even if you're going to go work out later.

Speaker A

Or do whatever, do some stretching, do some breathing.

Speaker A

Wim hof breathing.

Speaker A

If you don't know what that is, look it up.

Speaker A

W I M H O f It is a particular style of breathing that wakes up your parasympathetic nervous system and gets you set for the day.

Speaker A

Or you can do box breathing, or you can do rectangle breathing, or you can do all kinds of things.

Speaker A

The point is, spend 10 minutes honoring the the container that holds your spirit.

Speaker A

The implementer of all things that you think.

Speaker A

The second or the third thing is E S P E is emotional.

Speaker A

Send some messages of love.

Speaker A

Scroll through your texts.

Speaker A

I'm not talking Facebook scrolling or doom scrolling.

Speaker A

Look at Texts.

Speaker A

Look at messenger if you use it, or WhatsApp or whatever and be inspired about messages of love and connection.

Speaker A

I dare you.

Speaker A

Spend 10 minutes sending.

Speaker A

I prefer voice notes because they're way more personal.

Speaker A

But send some notes of love, of connection, maybe of repair.

Speaker A

Do that.

Speaker A

And the last is M. Mental.

Speaker A

Pick up a book.

Speaker A

I have 30 or so over here in two great big tall stacks, you know, that are.

Speaker A

I can't even show how tall they are.

Speaker A

Big stacks of books and more come every day.

Speaker A

Not every day, a couple times a week.

Speaker A

And I read voraciously.

Speaker A

Why?

Speaker A

Because I love the different framings.

Speaker A

I love the way people express their ideas.

Speaker A

So the goal here is, in that 40 minutes, create yourself so that you are true.

Speaker A

You are the being you want to have show up.

Speaker A

You're in Olympic form.

Speaker A

One way I say that is to enter spirit.

Speaker A

Enter spirit so you can receive real power.

Speaker A

Because you're spiritual beings.

Speaker A

Don't leave that meditation until you felt that connection.

Speaker A

I don't leave my spiritual part of on any day, ever.

Speaker A

And I mean this, I never skip until I've heard the voice of God reaffirming, reassuring, clearly with me.

Speaker A

Then name the thing you want to do today.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker A

After you've done these things, just pick the thing.

Speaker A

What is the needle mover today?

Speaker A

Is it more phone calls?

Speaker A

Is it copy you need to write?

Speaker A

Is it a customer you need to serve?

Speaker A

Is it a product you need to think about?

Speaker A

Is it an employee you need to work with?

Speaker A

Is it a new hire you need to do?

Speaker A

What's the thing that you believe will move the needle today?

Speaker A

Then take that thing and put it in your calendar right now.

Speaker A

Block the hour for me.

Speaker A

If it's not in my calendar, it doesn't happen.

Speaker A

And it's not because I'm rigid.

Speaker A

I'm very, very flexible.

Speaker A

But then I don't have to think.

Speaker A

It clears out my mind for me.

Speaker A

Everything's in the calendar.

Speaker A

I just have to look at that.

Speaker A

So when you've identified the thing that you think will move the needle, most put it in the calendar so you're sure you get it done.

Speaker A

Sometimes I use three non negotiables.

Speaker A

These are the three things I'm doing today, no matter what.

Speaker A

Boom.

Speaker A

Because I said so and I've done this.

Speaker A

I've thought, these are the things I think will move the needle.

Speaker A

They're not avoidant things.

Speaker A

They're not hiding things, they're not procrastination things that the things I really think will move the needle.

Speaker A

And when you're in spirit and in state.

Speaker A

When you've done your meditation and breath work, then you're most likely to identify truth as opposed to deflections and bullshit.

Speaker A

More likely to ignore the resistance, the pushback, the naysayer, the kibbitzer, the internal critic, because you're connected to your true purpose.

Speaker A

Okay, then here is a key to getting started.

Speaker A

Let's say you have to write something.

Speaker A

And I write a lot, so that's easy for me to use as an example.

Speaker A

And maybe you don't.

Speaker A

Maybe it's other things.

Speaker A

Then just start.

Speaker A

Just write.

Speaker A

Put out a hundred words, 200 words, 300 words, and just say it's an ugly draft.

Speaker A

I'm just putting down ideas.

Speaker A

I'm just saying it.

Speaker A

There's plenty of dictation tools, so you can even speak it.

Speaker A

Start, start.

Speaker A

Pick the one thing or the three non negotiables.

Speaker A

I use three.

Speaker A

But at least the one thing you think moves the needle.

Speaker A

Put it on the calendar.

Speaker A

Put it first.

Speaker A

Don't put it at the end of the day when you're tired and worn out.

Speaker A

Put it when you're fresh.

Speaker A

Do it right now.

Speaker A

If you can, let you have another appointment like do it now.

Speaker A

Do it first.

Speaker A

Lock it on your calendar and just start.

Speaker A

Okay, then.

Speaker A

A secret is that I use is like two timers.

Speaker A

I set a timer.

Speaker A

I use 50 tens.

Speaker A

If 50 minutes is too long, I had a client that used 25, five, whatever it is this means.

Speaker A

Put your phone away where you can't even hear the buzz.

Speaker A

No, no, no, no, no buzz.

Speaker A

And set the timer.

Speaker A

So I take a little timer and I set it for 50 and I just turn it upside down and set it here.

Speaker A

Or I'll turn off my phone and use the timer and I've made myself immunized to the buzz.

Speaker A

I don't care.

Speaker A

I get so many spam calls anyway, I don't care.

Speaker A

I must be on a bunch of lists that got sold.

Speaker A

So I get marketing calls and I never pay attention.

Speaker A

So in the phone buzz is I don't even care.

Speaker A

So I can use my phone.

Speaker A

But if the phone buzz bothers you, get a different timer.

Speaker A

Get them for three or four bucks on Amazon.

Speaker A

Set a 50 minute timer, turn it over and sit there.

Speaker A

I'm going for 50 minutes to do the thing that's going to move the needle, even if it's a rough draft.

Speaker A

When I help people write books, I always tell them working title, working title, working title.

Speaker A

So you don't have to get stuck on it.

Speaker A

Everything's work in progress.

Speaker A

Till you ship it.

Speaker A

So then go in for that 50, 50, 10.

Speaker A

When that 50 minutes is up, the buzzer goes off, pick up the 10 minute timer.

Speaker A

I leave to have two of them because one set at 50 and one set at 10 I just put in my pocket and go for a walk, break, walk away, stretch out, don't even think about it.

Speaker A

Go outside.

Speaker A

If it's good weather, it's not minus 40 or raining and.

Speaker A

Or walk around the house.

Speaker A

I'll go find Joy.

Speaker A

I have an angel in the house all the time anyway, so I'll go find Joy and she's an angel and smile and laugh and love her and she's just beautiful and she's always just a holy being.

Speaker A

So I'll go do that for a few minutes and when the 10 minute timer goes off, it goes off.

Speaker A

I'll wind down what I'm doing there in a minute and then come back and pick the next hour.

Speaker A

So that is a foolproof, bulletproof way to get that thing started.

Speaker A

Now, maybe you'll complete it in an hour and maybe you won't, but whatever you got done, lock it in.

Speaker A

Okay?

Speaker A

And if it's done, ship it.

Speaker A

No second guessing, no whatever.

Speaker A

If it's an email or a sales letter you're writing or an invitation, ship it.

Speaker A

Ship it, ship it.

Speaker A

That's the deal with yourself.

Speaker A

Then you know you're keeping your word to yourself.

Speaker A

Because I can make you a solemn holy promise.

Speaker A

When you keep your word to yourself, you can accomplish anything.

Speaker A

When I said it, I did it, is the truth of your life.

Speaker A

Nothing is out of your reach.

Speaker A

And that is a powerful, eternal truth.

Speaker A

So There is a 60 minute block that you can use to accomplish the thing every day.

Speaker A

The how of the how.

Speaker A

Exactly.

Speaker A

How to do it.

Speaker A

Now, at the end of that hour, after you've walked your 10 minutes or so, and these are all rough times, sit down for a minute and debrief what went well, what did I do really good?

Speaker A

What makes me go, yeah, and what could I do better?

Speaker A

And no drama, no harm, no foul, no beat up, no criticism, just question what might work better.

Speaker A

And you may not even know.

Speaker A

You know, it may be a hundred already.

Speaker A

But if you got distracted once, or if you got lost in a train of thought and wandered around and did something, that's okay.

Speaker A

Opportunity for improvement.

Speaker A

Because today is about the how of the how.

Speaker A

All right, so let's go to the next thing.

Speaker A

Here's how to keep your focus sharp, keep your engine running like a high octane engine running on you know, 94 octane gas or your body running on great food, great nutrition, and good sleep.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker A

And we're not going to talk about eating and sleeping hygiene today, although that's a whole episode in itself.

Speaker A

But here's something that you can do that will help you as you do this one hour block or the next one, or the next one.

Speaker A

I don't do more than two of those, maybe three in a row before I go.

Speaker A

Take a half hour.

Speaker A

And, you know, just stretch and move and do stuff, right?

Speaker A

So don't, don't, don't do too many of those because they are, they are draining or they're demanding.

Speaker A

They were not draining or demanding if you're doing stuff you love, but they're not draining.

Speaker A

All right, so here's things you do.

Speaker A

Do a three breath reset.

Speaker A

Three breaths might sound like, not sound like much, but I can promise you if you stand up, you stretch, and you do a very deep breath in, completely full to the top.

Speaker A

And then I have a friend that says even when it's full, then do another little pull and expand some little alveoli in your lungs that don't normally get puffed up.

Speaker A

And then breathe it out.

Speaker A

Some people call it box breathing.

Speaker A

4 in, 4 hold, 4 out, 4 hold or rectangle.

Speaker A

6 in, 4 hold, 6 out, 4 hold account.

Speaker A

Right?

Speaker A

It does something in your body.

Speaker A

It activates your parasympathetic nervous system, your vagal nerve.

Speaker A

It resets.

Speaker A

It gives you a reset command and tension and worry drain out of your body.

Speaker A

So a deep breath all the way in, extra hold it and then hold it empty.

Speaker A

Now, the hold it empty part might be hard at first, but I have done some practice to where I can breathe a certain way.

Speaker A

This is a Wim Hof breathing.

Speaker A

Breathe in deeply for three minutes, and then I can hold my lungs completely empty for a minute and a half, 90 seconds.

Speaker A

And if you haven't tried that, that might be really hard at first, but it's okay.

Speaker A

What you do is you teach your body that it can actually use the oxygen stored in it.

Speaker A

And there's all kinds of nervous system benefits to that.

Speaker A

We're not doing that today.

Speaker A

Look up Wim Hof.

Speaker A

It's fun.

Speaker A

All right, so there's a practical exact thing.

Speaker A

Set your time up, set your day up with your 40 minutes.

Speaker A

Then pick your mover, needle mover, block the time, do that one thing, ship it, then debrief.

Speaker A

Did you do good?

Speaker A

Did you get distracted?

Speaker A

Whatever.

Speaker A

A thousand likes doesn't equal one conversation.

Speaker A

Like, move into real action.

Speaker A

All right, so now we're going to talk about some accountability things that help you.

Speaker A

So at the end of the day, maybe you do.

Speaker A

You can do it in the middle also.

Speaker A

But here's some, here's some things that I do and that you can do that will help you at the end of the day or at your check in if you're going to do it at lunch.

Speaker A

I like to do it at lunch because my days are extremely productive and so I like to keep score a little bit.

Speaker A

And I don't write it down anywhere.

Speaker A

But I'll say, what did I create?

Speaker A

What did I create?

Speaker A

Well, I got a podcast episode done.

Speaker A

I conducted a coaching call.

Speaker A

I did a spectacular morning routine and put myself on cloud nine and three quarters.

Speaker A

Oh, that was platform nine and three quarters.

Speaker A

Harry Potter.

Speaker A

I do that and I do it every day and I love it.

Speaker A

What worked really well?

Speaker A

What did I learn in my meditation?

Speaker A

What did I hear the voice of God tell me to do today?

Speaker A

What was my intuition by the time lunch gets here?

Speaker A

Often the messages that I've sent out for love or repair or developing relationships, I'll see some answers.

Speaker A

Look what happened.

Speaker A

Some acknowledgement at least.

Speaker A

Sometimes there's an appointment scheduled on the calendar by then and I get to celebrate small victories.

Speaker A

So count your wins.

Speaker A

What did I create?

Speaker A

What is my.

Speaker A

What did I learn?

Speaker A

Here's another rubber meets the road thing that I do.

Speaker A

I look intentionally for coaching.

Speaker A

So I told you I have 30 books over here and I'll read a chapter or so in one or more of them during my 10 minutes and I look intentionally.

Speaker A

How can this help me?

Speaker A

What is the coaching here?

Speaker A

Coaching?

Speaker A

I am being coached in every moment.

Speaker A

I have a saying in my ptac, my personal truth document, that says I learn from and get coached by each person in my path, in print in a Facebook feed, and I clean out my feed.

Speaker A

So the only things I see are positive things.

Speaker A

I get rid of everything else.

Speaker A

I don't need garbage.

Speaker A

There's enough garbage that's available freely on the news and just walking around.

Speaker A

So I intentionally fill myself with high power nutrition and therefore I look for coaching.

Speaker A

I read somebody else's meme and I think, how does that apply to me?

Speaker A

Where's the gold here?

Speaker A

What can I do?

Speaker A

I attended a mastermind meeting yesterday and you know, I haven't belonged to this mastermind very long, couple of months.

Speaker A

And when I went in, I wasn't sure.

Speaker A

But what I decided is I'm going to take notes and I'm going to figure out something valuable.

Speaker A

And you know What?

Speaker A

I found 11 things in our 90 minutes yesterday.

Speaker A

I found 11 things in my notebook that I can do, and I can't do them all at once.

Speaker A

And I'm not pretending, and I'm not behind the eight ball.

Speaker A

And I'm not saying, oh, no, I got to do it all at once.

Speaker A

That's all nonsense.

Speaker A

But I found 11 possibilities, and they were exciting and energizing.

Speaker A

And as the mastermind went on, instead of thinking, once it's over, I was thinking, wow, what else is there?

Speaker A

So I look for coaching all the time.

Speaker A

So what did I get done this lunchtime?

Speaker A

Check in for me.

Speaker A

What did I learn?

Speaker A

And what's the next one thing?

Speaker A

The afternoon?

Speaker A

Or if I don't check in till night, what's tomorrow's.

Speaker A

But I do it at noon.

Speaker A

So what's.

Speaker A

What's the one thing that I think will move the needle?

Speaker A

And move the needle might be income.

Speaker A

Move the needle might be relationships.

Speaker A

Move the needle might be connections.

Speaker A

But whatever it is, now, I can make you a solemn promise.

Speaker A

If you do these things, your life will change.

Speaker A

You will be moving closer to purpose, prosperity, and joy.

Speaker A

All right, so let's get to some common derailments, things that get in your way.

Speaker A

Okay?

Speaker A

One is low energy.

Speaker A

Now, if you haven't had a habit of doing this kind of discipline and this kind of growth and this kind of structure, it might be difficult to start.

Speaker A

Start it all at once.

Speaker A

So change one thing at a time.

Speaker A

Change one thing at a time.

Speaker A

Because in a week, you've changed seven things.

Speaker A

And so it isn't necessary or appropriate or good or anything else to do everything everywhere all at once.

Speaker A

It's discouraging.

Speaker A

It's like going to the gym and saying, I lift 100 pounds.

Speaker A

I'm going to do 500 today.

Speaker A

Well, either you're going to break something or you're just going to fail and then tell yourself stories about why you suck.

Speaker A

Well, 1%, 3%.

Speaker A

One thing.

Speaker A

I'm going to do one thing different, and then I'm going to see what happened.

Speaker A

And then one more thing and one more thing, and that stuff stacks up so fast you won't believe it, but some people still use it.

Speaker A

Well, if I can't do everything, I'm not going to bother nothing.

Speaker A

That's like the diet thing.

Speaker A

Well, I ate one cookie, so I might as well eat the whole bag and a box of ice cream.

Speaker A

Well, you could, but you already know where that road goes.

Speaker A

I hate myself.

Speaker A

I suck.

Speaker A

I'll never make this.

Speaker A

So why would you go down that road into that blind alley, Right?

Speaker A

All right, so then another hack is perfectionism.

Speaker A

I don't want to ship.

Speaker A

Send the email, the invitation, the conversation, whatever it is, I don't want to ship until it's perfect.

Speaker A

Well, first of all, you have no idea what perfect is.

Speaker A

So that's a myth.

Speaker A

That's nonsense.

Speaker A

Second, that's why I always use the idea of working titles.

Speaker A

Okay, ship version 0.7.

Speaker A

Right?

Speaker A

You don't have to get to version one.

Speaker A

It isn't going to be perfect anyway.

Speaker A

I wrote five books on meditation in 2009.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker A

And they were a series, the Meditation series, Healthy Mind Institute.

Speaker A

And they dealt with how to do meditation and then how to apply it in four different areas.

Speaker A

Creating spirituality, creating personal achievement, learning in the creative process, health, healing, and wellness.

Speaker A

And you know what?

Speaker A

Ten years later, I put out V2, revised edition.

Speaker A

Were the first ones bad?

Speaker A

No, I had just more to say and some adds to it.

Speaker A

And so there's version two.

Speaker A

That was out a few years ago.

Speaker A

How wonderful.

Speaker A

V2.

Speaker A

So perfectionism is a joke.

Speaker A

It is a myth.

Speaker A

It is a lie.

Speaker A

Nothing is perfect.

Speaker A

You can't get there.

Speaker A

And telling yourself that is baloney.

Speaker A

That means you're procrastinating.

Speaker A

That means you're pretending.

Speaker A

That means you think you somehow have a perfect thing, and you don't.

Speaker A

And what you're really doing is hiding behind the idea that you're afraid of ridicule.

Speaker A

You're afraid of failing.

Speaker A

You're afraid it won't work.

Speaker A

And guess what?

Speaker A

There are ridiculers.

Speaker A

There are people for whom it will fail.

Speaker A

So just get that nonsense out of your head and know that that's going to happen.

Speaker A

And ship for the ones that need it now.

Speaker A

Because the version that you've got now, whether it's a product, a service, an email, a text, a marketing campaign, or anything else, or a relationship repair attempt, I need to find exactly the right words to make this apology or make this approach or do this presentation.

Speaker A

No, you don't.

Speaker A

The answer is always ready, fire, steer.

Speaker A

Ready, fire, steer.

Speaker A

Because you don't know what anyone else is thinking anyway.

Speaker A

And you can't know.

Speaker A

So when you unburden yourself with the idea that you're supposed to know, you're completely liberated to go with what you got and then make adjustments along the way.

Speaker A

So Nick's the perfection thing.

Speaker A

The other thing is small accountability things.

Speaker A

Sometimes you hear this story, too.

Speaker A

You sit behind your desk in isolation and you work all day long and Then you start wondering, does it even matter?

Speaker A

Am I shouting into the wind that nobody's going to hear?

Speaker A

With whatever your product or service is, whatever you're doing.

Speaker A

And you know, if you already go to a job where you're with other people, then you have, you know, you've gotten over that isolation thing.

Speaker A

But one of the profound and well documented effects of COVID was this isolation epidemic.

Speaker A

It ruined relationships.

Speaker A

It took away our ability to talk and connect.

Speaker A

It damaged a whole generation of kids in terms of isolation and absence from school.

Speaker A

And we're still, you know, working on making repairs to that.

Speaker A

So don't be isolated.

Speaker A

Schedule time to connect.

Speaker A

Now, me, I have a blessing.

Speaker A

I have joy.

Speaker A

I have joy in Persona.

Speaker A

I have an angel that lives in my house.

Speaker A

I can go up and be with her.

Speaker A

So guess what?

Speaker A

We'll go run an errand.

Speaker A

We'll go somewhere, go to the bottle depot and take the bottles in.

Speaker A

We'll go to the recycle.

Speaker A

I'll just go up and sit in her office and ask her what she's doing and how she slept and whatever.

Speaker A

I get up a lot earlier than her so often I don't see her till lunch, right, Because I'm down here working.

Speaker A

Or I may take a mid morning break after one of the 50 tens.

Speaker A

And part of the ten is to go find her, like I mentioned earlier.

Speaker A

But connect with someone, be open and share.

Speaker A

Ask what they're doing.

Speaker A

This isn't about you monopolizing a conversation and making it about you.

Speaker A

Get out of yourself.

Speaker A

What are you doing today?

Speaker A

How's your day going?

Speaker A

What went good?

Speaker A

What went bad?

Speaker A

How can I love you?

Speaker A

How can I encourage you?

Speaker A

How can I lift and bless your heart?

Speaker A

Like, you'll be surprised.

Speaker A

What power there is in that question for both you and for them.

Speaker A

All right, so here's your challenge to do a how of the how sprint.

Speaker A

You've heard this episode.

Speaker A

I dare you.

Speaker A

I challenge you.

Speaker A

I beg you.

Speaker A

I command you.

Speaker A

Whatever voice works, right?

Speaker A

Run this daily creation for seven days.

Speaker A

The 40 minutes of your daily creation in the morning, and then this structure to get delivery happening.

Speaker A

Run it just like we talked about.

Speaker A

Run it for seven days and then tell me what happens.

Speaker A

I challenge you to tell me.

Speaker A

I invite you to.

Speaker A

I'd love to share your successes.

Speaker A

I invite you.

Speaker A

Especially if you're already doing this and you're hitting on all cylinders and you've got a process that really works.

Speaker A

I'd love you.

Speaker A

I'd love to share it on the show.

Speaker A

Get.

Speaker A

Reach out to me.

Speaker A

And let's get you as a guest on here because mine isn't the only wisdom.

Speaker A

I'm sharing you with you.

Speaker A

What I know works and what has caused me to write 20 books, put out new nearly a hundred songs, create multiple many dollar coaching programs, you know, create a very, very successful seven figure business.

Speaker A

And so I invite you to, to listen to this and don't dismiss it.

Speaker A

If it doesn't work for you exactly as described, figure out your own.

Speaker A

But the key is do it.

Speaker A

You have to ship it.

Speaker A

You have to ship it.

Speaker A

Okay, so here's what you track.

Speaker A

You track.

Speaker A

Did you do the 40 minutes of creation 10/10.10.

Speaker A

If you use spam, spiritual, physical, emotional, mental.

Speaker A

If you have a different one, then the metric is really simple.

Speaker A

Did it work?

Speaker A

People say to me all the time, yeah, yeah, yeah, I have a daily, I have a morning ritual, blah blah blah.

Speaker A

And then I ask him a really interesting question, does it work?

Speaker A

And they go, what do you mean?

Speaker A

And most of them are doing a sort of box checking exercise.

Speaker A

Yeah, I meditated.

Speaker A

Yeah, I did this.

Speaker A

Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's useless.

Speaker A

I'm totally useless.

Speaker A

Work means did it deliver you to your highest level of being?

Speaker A

Did it deliver you as the on fire divine soul committed to your mission?

Speaker A

Grin on your face, fire under your butt?

Speaker A

Did it deliver that for you?

Speaker A

If it didn't, your morning ritual sucks.

Speaker A

Do it again, figure it out.

Speaker A

Because the whole purpose of that is to deliver the best you.

Speaker A

So telling me or yourself you've got a ritual or some kind of thing is a useless comment unless it works.

Speaker A

So the outcome did it work?

Speaker A

Did it deliver you on fire?

Speaker A

Grin on your face, fired up and ready to rock?

Speaker A

That's what your morning ritual must do or it's garbage because it didn't work.

Speaker A

So my invitation, if you want help, I can give you one that works.

Speaker A

I can help you create one that works for you, not one that works for me, but because what works for me won't work for you.

Speaker A

So the key is, did it work for you?

Speaker A

Okay, so track the things, you track the days.

Speaker A

Did you pick your one thing?

Speaker A

Did you block it?

Speaker A

Did you ship?

Speaker A

Did you pick it?

Speaker A

Did you block the time?

Speaker A

Did you ship?

Speaker A

And if it's a several day project, then did you get to the to the stopping point and count it as locked and loaded, shipped right at the end of, at the end of the week, count your wins, figure out, figure out.

Speaker A

And if you had a multi day thing, is it shipped?

Speaker A

Are you willing to ship?

Speaker A

Version 0.6 or 7 or 8.

Speaker A

I'm.

Speaker A

I've got a really cool 4K camera and their software is still version 0 point something and they're gradually creeping up to 1 and so they're just acknowledging they're adding cool stuff and doing it and they're, you know, they update it and eventually I think they'll get to version one.

Speaker A

So here's your invitation.

Speaker A

Love yourself enough to get good at this.

Speaker A

Love yourself to get your pride out of the way and do the things that I have told you to do.

Speaker A

Unless you're already hitting on all cylinders, in which case you already have.

Speaker A

You have a process.

Speaker A

But if you're only hitting on five days out of seven or three days or one or two days a week, you're better than that.

Speaker A

You're worth more than that.

Speaker A

You're more powerful than that.

Speaker A

I need what you have.

Speaker A

So do a lot of other people.

Speaker A

So the how of the how is the exact steps, one foot in front of the other to take.

Speaker A

And I have given you that today.

Speaker A

I'm not saying it's the only one, but I can tell you it works.

Speaker A

And I used to think, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker A

And people still do.

Speaker A

And it is so, so true.

Speaker A

The most important gift you have is the story of your own becoming.
