Have you ever felt like you're being chased by the clock? I have. Welcome to the show. Tired of the hype about living the dream? It's time for truth.
This is the place for tools, power, and real talk, so you can create the life you dream and deserve your ultimate life. Subscribe, share, create. You have infinite power.
Welcome to your ultimate life, the podcast where we're going to talk about exactly how to create purpose, prosperity, and joy and to live in it every day. Yeah. Purpose, prosperity, and joy. What does that have to do with all these Salvador Dali weird clocks? I realize they're not quite as weird as that.
This one, maybe a little bit. But I want to talk about something that's really been, like, hard for me. This podcast is about your ultimate life, you.
And so my only goal is for you to take something home in your shopping bag right now that can change your life and make you more money and make you more happy. Yay. And it isn't about the hole in my head here. It's not a hole, but it's a big bruise. So, yeah, that is. It's a bruise.
It'll be gone in, I don't know, a day or two. Week. Two more. It's a week ago that I whacked my head on the fridge. Funny story, but that's for a different day.
Today I want to talk about faith and how it relates to clocks. That's going to get kind of weird. So just know right ahead of time. We know that Einstein talks about time is relative and that the.
The speed of light is the speed limit of the universe, and it's built right into the fabric of space time. And we also know that when an object. Me.
Like if you run, if you're running down the street, the watch on your wrist is moving slower than the clock in your house. Isn't that funny? The watch on your wrist is moving slower. It's ticking slower than the clock in the house now, not enough that you'll ever notice it.
Millionths, millionths and millionths of a second. But as you get closer and closer and closer to the speed of light, time slows and slows and slows. And technically, at the speed of light, time stops.
Well, that's an interesting thought about how things could be. You know, time could not be measured in another dimension.
Maybe things, they're vibrating consistently and always at the speed of light or moving that compared to us. So everything would be present, like in this very moment for them.
Anyway, we're not going to talk about that today, but it's just an interesting side note. What I do want to talk about is the development piece. Now, you guys know I'm in the personal development business.
I got in this business because I had to. I got in this business because my life was a wreck and I needed to do something. I got in this business because I was rescued miraculously in 2007.
That's not when I died. That was 11 years later. And so what happened? As I began to learn and to develop, I had the same realization many of you had have had.
And that is, wow. All this stuff that I'm going through or this mountain I'm climbing or this broken glass I'm crawling over.
These experiences can be helpful to somebody. I'm going to use them to help somebody else. And that's how lots of people decide to get in the people encouragement, business coaching, okay?
In, at least in business coaching and life coaching, I've had some business success. I'm going to help others learn how to do that. I've had some Facebook ad success. I'm going to market that and sell that. I've had some fitness success.
I've lost £50 or whatever it is. I could market that. I did that once actually, when I was in my 30s. I lost 80 pounds. Actually it was 90. I lost 90 pounds. I only needed to lose 80.
I had to pull some of it back on because I went too hard and I didn't have any chemicals or anything else. I did it the hard way so I could market that. Right? I don't because that's not the business I want to be in. I'm in the soul stretching business.
I'm in the business that gives you millions. I have a club, okay? I have a club. And if you want to know about it, ask me.
The way to get a hold of me is kellenflukegarmedia.com and there's a contact form kellenfluekermedia.com Go there. And today's episode is brought to you by this club. But it's secret. You won't find it online anywhere. You have to talk to me and be engaged in it.
And it's the Millionaire Makers club, okay? Because my commitment is to make 3,000 millionaires. I'm creating 3,000 millionaires. Actually 2,999 because I'm already the first one.
But if you, if you, and if you want to know how to do that and get a hold of me. Callums, look@your media.com and there's a contact form the Millionaire, Millionaire Maker Club.
Because I've learned how to do that now and I'm going to share it with anybody that wants it. So anyway, that's not what this is about either and. But that's our sponsor today. So I had titled this episode When Faith Meets the Clock.
Now here's something I had as a dilemma. I was 52 years old. 2007 Was the year I turned 52. That year everything changed. I was finishing a 30 year career from 77 to 07 in the energy business.
I had had wild success, C suite stuff in the US and in Canada, several different companies. And so I by outside I had all this success behind the scenes. If you know that, you know the stories, right?
I had depression and suicide attempts and addictions and failed relationships and I was a disaster, just a walking disaster. But things happened in 2007 that shook me up enough that I, I started over.
Literally walked away from that career and started on a new path to change because I knew I, I should be dead wasn't it was preserved by divine design. But I also had that feeling of wow, I gotta, I gotta help.
As I learned not to start with, but I gotta help people with the same thing because I, I know that there's lots of people that are asleep that are not living to their full potential. So one of the things that happened because I was 52 and that happened is I thought, oh man, I have wasted so much time.
I can't tell you how many times I said that. I have wasted so much time. Hey, can you see this hole in my sleeve? See that clock? You can see right there? Oh, there's a clock behind my arm.
It's because this is green. Isn't that fun? I have a green screen back there. I just saw I have a hole in my arm. Not really. All right.
So I thought, I'm 52, I've wasted all this time. Crazy. And so I began to work, I began to believe. I began to design my life. I even had my meditations and prayer focused on the fast track.
How can I skip the line? How can I do things at an accelerated pace? Now there's no question there's a slow way to do things and there's the fast way to do things.
But I wanted an exponential level above that, you know, slow way, fast way. I want it this way. And I'm sure I'm not alone. I don't know, but I sure I'm pretty not alone in the, you know, I want the fast way. I want everything.
We live in a download and double click world. Right. Everything needs to be solvable in the length of a TV sitcom where we solve all the problems, or certainly a four or five episode series.
I mean, come on, we've saved the world a thousand times in a six episode season of whatever. So certainly I can learn how to make a million dollars this year in a, you know, month or two. Well, here's what. And so I was like aching, searching.
And when I didn't see what I thought was the fast track. Fast track, fast track, exponential growth. I started getting frustrated. Not with my reformation, I was grateful for that.
Now I wasn't really frustrated with God because I assumed God was good and right and everything else. But guess who? Then the blame fell on. I must suck. I must not be working hard enough. I'm doing this wrong. I, I, oh man, what?
And so I tortured myself for some time, for some years, thinking I must really suck at this because I am not finding what in my mind was defined as the fast track, which has everything to do with this time business. Time was passing. 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58. What's wrong? Right? And things were growing and, you know, happening, but nowhere near fast enough for me.
Because now that I found this change and transformation, how come it can't go zip, you know, like speed of light and time slow down? Well, here's the thing. It doesn't work that way. And it took me a while to learn it.
And to not only learn it, but then lean into it, accept it, and then be joyful with it. The truth is, the universe, however it came into being, we estimate 15.467 billion years old, long time.
And it's been unfolding just regularly, flawlessly and perfectly.
And you know, we guessed about big, you know, forever expansions, cold and dark, big crunch, all depending on a bunch of physics theories about the amount of matter and all the rest of it. We're not going to talk about that today either. Although that's a fun episode.
And it's been doing that for, for, you know, just by itself, without my intervention or help or my petitions or anything else. So I started wondering what was wrong with me.
And there was two, two problems with my thinking that I have now corrected that have allowed me to both make peace and make speed. I was thinking about it completely wrong and I'm going to share that with you exactly right now.
The first thing is, if you think about geologic time scales or cosmic time scales, they're measured in years, thousands, millions, billions of years, right? So the Grand Canyon didn't Get carved in a week or month or year or a thousand years, it was longer and slower than that. That's geologic time scales.
And when we start thinking about plate tectonics and we know the Pangea was all of the continents in one place and that was, you know, by estimate, so many, I forgot, thousands of years ago. Is it millions? I don't think so.
But anyway, so many thousand years ago and there's a few centimeters of tectonic drift every year which moves the planets. And so sometime not the planets, but the continents, the plates. And sometime in the future they're going to be, you know, crash back into each other.
And that crashing of plates is what causes earthquakes and volcanoes and things like that. We know that. We also know that an acorn tree doesn't grow overnight.
I mean, here's an acorn, it's got all the information it needs, all the DNA, everything it needs to be a gigantic, beautiful, mighty oak tree. And it doesn't do that overnight either. Silly example I use a lot. Not silly, but smaller.
Planted an orange tree in my yard in Phoenix when we lived there and you know, I watered it, took care of it in the hot sun, good, you know, warm climate, and it grew and it was beautiful and I didn't produce any fruit. Now I happen to have already known from other sources that citrus trees don't fruit the first year.
And I didn't plant it from a seed, I planted it from a small tree that I think I bought, maybe a Costco or somewhere, I don't know. But anyway, if I didn't know that, I could have ripped it out and thought, stupid tree, it's not working.
But I knew that they don't produce fruit the first year. In the second year, sure enough, beautiful fruit, great taste in oranges. Sad to leave it behind, but we did when we moved up to Edmonton, all right?
So my growth needed to conform to the laws of the universe. So does yours.
So I stopped fighting with that and thinking that I had that, that that somehow I was either entitled to some fast track or, and I didn't believe that for a minute that I could find it. And if I worked hard enough I could get the pass key to get on the fast track.
And so, and I equated it with harder, harder, harder, more rigid schedule, work harder, et cetera. That doesn't work. It was fatigue. And besides fatigue, there was a lot of self recrimination.
If I didn't follow my rigid, rigid schedule and got behind, it's like I sucked. Maybe you can relate to some of that. So here's what I did do. I finally figured out two things.
One, that the universe timeline is what it is and I don't get to control that. And two, there are things that I do and that you do that can change those timelines.
So for example, If I'm walking 10 miles and let's say I decide I want to walk 10 miles one day, if I walk with my legs tied together like a potato sack race or something, then I'm just going to be able to like walk a little bit at a time, right. And if I don't do that, I'll be able to take my normal strides.
Well, that, that simple thing alone is going to, you know, multiply the time it takes me to get to where I'm going at the end of 10 miles by a hundred. Because, you know, my feet are going to go just a little at a time because my legs are tied together.
Now you may not, you know, it's funny example and stupid. Who would walk with their legs tied together while we do it all the time? And three legged races. But anyway, that's for fun.
So the, the idea there is, are there things that I'm doing were there for me where I started thinking about it. Wrong, right? I was thinking, work, work harder, work harder, something's wrong with me.
The question then became, wait a minute, are there places where I'm tying my hands behind my back or trying to walk with my legs tied together? Are those there? Am I doing that? Surely not on purpose.
And it turns out that I am and that I was and that you are and that it is causing you to walk slow like your legs are tied together instead of striding normally in a walk. I'm not talking about running. See, before I kept thinking if I ran harder, I'd get there.
Well, if you run harder, you get tired and you wear out and you burn your shoes up and everything else. But we as humans are built to walk and walk continuously and for a long distance.
So that teaches me if I use things the way they're designed, like our legs and hips and muscles, we are designed to walk a long ways. And yeah, we need to eat and drink and stuff, but we're really designed to do that. Our muscles, our legs, our skeleton frame, our back.
We're built to walk long distances. And that was a revelation to me because it meant I need to work with the design parameters of growth, the design parameters of the universe.
And so I completely stopped chafing about finding a secret passage to move ahead three moves or three years or to cut off 10 years of my development. Not because they don't exist, because they do. I was looking in the wrong places. So there are two kinds of barriers.
The first barrier are things that we are doing to ourselves that are like tying our legs together so we're hobbling instead of walking at a normal pace.
The second thing is let's, let's equate that to better shoes and better clothing that wicks better a supply of food, arranging regular, you know, pit stops on the way like they do on the tour to France or something, so that I can keep going effectively and stay healthy and nourished. So there are some barriers that I impose on myself that make me walk slower.
And there are some accelerators that I can create and have that do work, but they work within the design parameters of me accelerating walking. I'm going to get out of walking and talk about creating happiness, creating cash. Okay, Right.
Recently we've been introduced in Full blast in the last two years, although it's existed more longer than that to the large scale proliferation of large language models. We're calling it AI generically, which is a bunch of technology that is allowing for some of that acceleration.
Lots of things that used to take an hour now take five minutes or three minutes. Things that used to take a half a day and get done in half an hour. So that has provided us with some real life good acceleration.
Now it comes with some limitations because it makes mistakes and you have to be careful about what you put in it. And like any computer system, gigo, garbage in, garbage out. But it's still an awesome tool to create force.
So my acceleration that has come that I used to seek in running faster, harder, faster, harder has come, but it has come from removing all the shackles, the hobbles, the places where my life was taped together, and from finding good accelerators. So that's the framing that I want to talk about today.
All right, now, if you think about nature, trees take time to grow, canyons take time to carve movements take time to build. Okay, legacy that you might leave or that I might leave, that takes a lifetime. So let's talk about the illusion of acceleration.
When we, when we see online one of the, you know, social media has made news available all over the world. But another thing that it's done is it's poisoned the idea of success. Because we see people online and we think, oh, they're overnight success.
They automatically, like, I never heard of them. Now all of a sudden they're made. They made A million dollars doing that.
Well, that is an illusion because we don't know how much time was spent removing tape between the legs and creating acceleration processes in their area before they came onto the public scene. We also know people misuse social media to create lies and illusions.
I just saw a thing on television and, you know, on television you never know if anything's true, but it looked real enough. Where?
In this Iran conflict that's going on right now, US and Iran, the Iranians are putting out AI videos showing flaming ships and burning Tel Aviv on fire and all kinds of stuff to try to boost morale in their country. So we know without taking, I mean, whatever. It's just interesting that we're trying to shape the narrative that way.
Political parties in the US are doing it. I live in Canada, but Joy and I are both dual national, so we pay attention to a lot of that.
So with that proliferation, everything looks fast and looks overnight, but it's not true.
What it does in US though, is it creates the same feeling that I had when I first started, you know, trying to create writing, writing books that I have a bunch of now and coaching practice and everything. After my wake up call, I expected to have this somehow a rapid acceleration, and expected to get it by grinding and working hard.
All right, so then there's another piece. It's truth. There are things we're doing to slow ourselves down and there are accelerators. I'm going to tell you what I know about those in a minute.
The second piece or the next piece I want to talk about is divine timing versus personal agenda.
One of the things people often ask me when I'm on shows for them, on podcasts, either talking about dying in 2018 or my own transformational story, which started in 2007 after decades of living in a different illusory reality and destroying myself. They want to hear about that. And then they say, well, what happened? What changed, whatever. And that didn't happen until I was 52.
Someone could say, well, why? If God was going to intervene, why didn't he do that? When you were 22 or 32, you're going to have had 20 or 30 more years of productivity.
Well, this goes to the divine timing thing. If the universe has been unfolding for 15 billion years, God doesn't need my help unfolding my life. I trust.
I don't know what you do, but I trust that God knows more than I do.
This isn't a religious advertisement, but I've seen enough absolute bulletproof evidence in my life to know that there is divine intent, divine love and divine guidance. And so that means that everything that happens can be turned for my value.
It doesn't mean I don't have choice, because I've made plenty of stupid ones. But it means that all of those things have been turned into my growth and good growth fuel, as it were. So when people ask me, what would you change?
My answer is always the same, not a single thing.
Because all of that difficulty has created additional capacity, emotional capacity, spiritual capacity, leadership, maturity and opportunity, and has created incredible resilience. Because that's happened, I'm never not happy. I don't care what happens. I love it. I love setbacks, I love trials. I embrace them as sacred teachers.
I ask the divine every day in my meditation and prayer, which mountain today? What are we doing today? I don't ask why, I do ask. Tune my eyes so that I can get the most value out of this, whatever it is.
Funny one, this computer that I'm recording on right now, a month ago, the CPU failed. And that was for the second time. I built this computer in 2023, October or September? October.
And about a year later, In October of 24, the CPU failed. And I got a warranty one fortunately, but it was down for a month.
And because I had to take it to the shop and get diagnosed and then write to intel and get one back, et cetera, et cetera. So then about 15 months later, from October 24, which was January of this year, the same thing, it failed again. Back to the shop.
This time I, you know, contacted intel and I said, hey, the shop tells me the CPU is bad again and gave him the case number, the other one. So I got a replacement faster. It was only down about two and a half weeks instead of a month, but it failed. Did I ask for that? No.
And then three weeks later, my other beast, I have a two big beastie home built CPUs that are super powerful.
One for video editing and everything else, and one over there in the recording studio to run, you know, really complex software involved in professional music production that's failed. I don't know if it's a CPU or not because it's in the shop right now. But I don't care because I have learned to trust and believe in divine timing.
That does two things. One, it removes all sweat from my. I don't sweat it, I don't care. I know it's going to work.
That means it frees up all my creative and emotional capacity. To do what? Go faster, go further, be creative. So that fact Alone. Stop worrying. Stop worrying and start trusting.
Now, trusting doesn't mean sit on your ass and do nothing. Trusting means believing that there's a bigger picture and continuing to do with all the joy and power you have for what's in front of you.
Okay, so that's another thing that has really changed everything, changed the game for me in a powerful way, and lets me live every day with purpose, prosperity and joy. Purpose. You know my purpose? I'm creating 3,000 millionaires. I'm reaching 300 million people with my podcasts and LA talk radio shows and books.
I just finished book number 24 a couple of weeks, well, last week actually, and my publisher is working on that one. I have two others. So I have three books in publication right now that are coming in the next four months. I'm excited about that.
And the purpose of that is to help you, to love you, to show you everything that I've learned, hoping that it will be of value to you, knowing that it can be. If you choose it, take it and apply it in the way that makes most sense for you and your situation.
So here's another way to think about this one is look through history. Builders.
We still see in Europe Roman aqueducts where they were moving water over large distances, amazing feats of building bright long distance water, movement, understanding gravity and gradual slopes. And all the things that go in to moving water in Roman aqueducts, they were built powerfully. Okay.
We still see things like the Pantheon, that amazing building in Rome. We see things still standing like Hadrian's Wall in the Coliseum, and those are all from Roman times. And we see things that are even older and so.
And we also know that those things took days, weeks, months, years, decades to build. One of the things I have had the opportunity to do is to be in Europe, in a number of cities and see, you know, big cathedrals that were built.
They look impressive and they're like way cool. And what is even more exciting is to learn something about the history of those things, like how long they took to build. Decades.
And so if you read some of the histories, you'll see that some craftsmen worked their entire working lives on one cathedral. They were hired and brought in after it had started. They worked on it their whole life and grew old and died before it was finished.
And so their entire working contribution now still stands hundreds of years later. But they never saw the beginning and they never saw completion.
In our download and double click world, we get the idea that everything's got to be done right this minute. Time, time, time. And I got to have it done because I need the. I need the cash, I need the fruit, I need the recognition. I need that now, now, now.
And we have lost the sense of legacy. We have lost the sense of opportunity to make something lasting and powerful. Now here's what I know about you. You are a genius.
I don't know what area you're a genius in, but I know you are. That's one thing I know. Here's another thing I know you have a life story that could make millions of dollars and help millions of people.
That might sound like a bold claim, but I've never met someone for whom that is not true. If you want to test it, I invite you to talk to me. We'll see if we can schedule an appointment.
Kellenfluker media.com use the contact form Kellenflukermedia.com use the contact form. Because every person I've ever talked to, I don't care that they come with me. I don't got nothing. I have nothing. I have no special talents.
I can't do this, can't do that. And even if I could it, I don't have backing. I don't know where to start. I don't know how to do it.
And, and I also have people that come and say, well, I know I could change the world if this and this and this and this and this and this just happened.
If I just got a big financial backing and somebody believed in me and gave me 10 million bucks or million bucks so I could do it, then I know I could do it. That person's never going to get a million bucks to back them.
And I can promise that because all they're doing is wishing and waiting for externalities. They're waiting for somebody else's clock to say, oh, time to go find so and so and give them a million bucks. We have to be in the act of building.
And boy, have I learned that over and over and over again. But I've also learned that when I am, miracles happen. And the way that my life goes now is happening every day.
Every single day, something way cool, unexplained good happens. Isn't that fun? I'm not special. That's available to you right here, right now, the 3,000 millionaires that I'm creating.
And when I say millionaires, I don't mean a million top line revenue. I mean a million take home payments from your business. You want a million take home pay? Get a hold of me. Join the millionaire club anyway.
Millionaire makers club. All Right. So let's talk the rest about this timeline. Timeline versus divine timing. Why do I think things ought to happen at a certain speed? Right?
And why don't they? And I called this faith meeting the clock. All right? So great builders take however long they take.
You are building something you're not going to snap your fingers into in it to existence. What happens is most people get impatient and they give up. Can you imagine if Michelangelo, painting the Sistine Chapel, had given up?
Take it too long, he had to lay on his back for days on end painting the Sistine Chapel. He could have given up. Didn't do it. Took time to build.
The legacy you have to offer the world, which comes from your own gifts and talents, just like Michelangelo's did, is going to take some time to build and it's going to be for millions to enjoy.
The faith part that I talked about, that got in my way as I believed if I was healthy now and I was doing, quote, what I needed to do and I wasn't destroying myself anymore, that automatically the timing of the universe would adjust and I could, quote, make up for lost time. Well, there's two problems with that. Number one, you can't make up for anything because time's gone. And two, it isn't lost anyway.
Every single second of my life has turned to my growth. So has yours. And you will know it and feel it and be able to use it if and only if you choose to look at it that way. Remember the blinders?
If I choose only to see this and interpret reality in the negative way that I used to and get after myself and all that negativity, it will never materialize for me. We do that out of habit and it's not necessary and it's not true. Okay, so here is the thing I want to leave you with.
Faith or belief in your own potential or the law of attraction or any other way you want to describe that doesn't eliminate the clock. It doesn't stop or alter the passage of time. Things take time to build. Those are simply facts.
Even with those facts, there are ways that we are hobbled together where we've got our legs taped together. There's. So removing those is the first thing. And quite frankly, that is the biggest mindset.
What we believe about ourselves, who we think we are, the identity we've created for ourselves. All that is the biggest weight that sits on every person I meet. Some have a tiny bit, some have a ton.
I had a boatload, and I have now scrapped all that. But it took the work that it takes, and I invite you to realize that, that you can get rid of that also. Again, if you want my help.
Kellenfluker media.com the contact form. What faith does do is it changes your relationship to the clock.
I used to again, when the days and weeks and months went by, I got frustrated, doubted my belief in the divine and in myself, because I had an artificial thought that things had to happen at a certain way, at a certain pace. I call that the MST problem. Manner, size and time.
The results that I wanted had to occur in a certain manner, in a certain size and in a certain timing. Well, just like the universe, I don't control all of that. I control the inputs, I control my effort.
More importantly, I control unhobbling myself, getting rid of the ways that I'm holding myself, like hobbled legs. When coaches say holding yourself back, that's such language. I mean, it's true, but it doesn't mean anything.
But I want you to think about if your legs were taped together with duct tape, how hard it would be to walk. That's what that's like. And you might say, I don't have any of that. And okay, you can pretend, but you're still going way slower than you could.
The second thing is there are these accelerators that you can have one of them that is, I think, the most powerful one, and I'll give you that right now, is I create myself every day. Like, you know, you've had days where you feel way better than others, like the winds at your back. Everything's going good.
The phone calls are good, the emails are good, stuff is happening. Boom, boom, boom. It's like, yeah, I want more of those days. What if I told you you can create them? That's an accelerator.
They don't happen by accident and they are available to have. So those are accelerators. So there's the Hubblers, the things where we tape our legs together.
And there they are, the accelerators, which are the tools to create those awesome days, good days, great days. You can have those at will. If you'd like to know the details of that, it's a longer conversation. Kellenflueckegermedia.com use the contact form.
Those are available and you control them. All right?
Once you accept a longer horizon, that the thing you're building is going to take as long as it takes and that you're going to focus your energy on getting rid of the things that slow you down and picking up as many accelerators as you can. But you're Choosing not to get frustrated and angry in the process. That is an accelerator also.
So I told you one accelerator about creating yourself every day or creating fabulous days. The second one is not getting frustrated with the timing. An easy example is one client of mine owns a gym. And it's not like a 24 Hour Fitness.
It's one where people train for contests and shows and things like that. So it's like, you know, that kind of a gym. And can you imagine someone deciding they want to enter some kind of a muscle contest? Right?
They go to the gym a few times and then they get mad because it doesn't happen right now. They work for a fricking month and they don't have like all this stuff to show for it.
And you and I would laugh at that and say, well, yeah, it takes a little longer than that. Well, we can see that everything we want to build has its own timeline.
And understanding that, making peace with that and falling in love with the process, those are three accelerators. Understanding it takes the time it does be.
Being at peace with that and then falling in love with the growth process, those are three of the things that help you create those fabulous days that you can have every day. So those alone will change your relationship with the clock. There are many more. There are many more.
But the focus is get rid of the things that keep your legs taped together or slow you down and find and implement the accelerators. Here's what I can promise you.
