Are you shadow banning your own life?
Speaker AAre you getting right smack in your own way?
Speaker AWelcome to the show.
Speaker ATired of the hype about living a dream?
Speaker AIt's time for truth.
Speaker AThis is the place for tools, power and real talk so you can create the life you dream and deserve your ultimate life.
Speaker ASubscribe, share, create.
Speaker AYou have infinite power.
Speaker AYou know, this picture behind me is a, is a, is an AI picture of me.
Speaker AAnd I love the cool colors and background.
Speaker ABut I used it for this because the name of this episode is no Gatekeepers.
Speaker AAre you shadow banning your life and in Shadowban?
Speaker AI'm not going to pretend that I'm an expert on that sort of thing, but what I understand that it is is a practice that some social media and perhaps others have to lower the rankings of or to eliminate the rankings or the vis of posts, but doing it in the shadows, secretly and hiding.
Speaker ANow, I'm not here to talk about social media or politics or anything else.
Speaker AThe reason I ask if you're shadow banning your own life is really simple.
Speaker AWe get in our own way.
Speaker AWhat does that mean?
Speaker AYou hear that all the time with coaching kind of stuff, right?
Speaker ASo let's talk about for a sec what that is.
Speaker AGetting in your own way means lots of things, but one thing it could mean is I want to go to the gym and work out.
Speaker AI don't like my health, let's say I'm not happy with my health.
Speaker AI want to either be stronger or lose some weight or lower my resting pulse or whatever it is and then I stop.
Speaker AI don't.
Speaker AI make up reasons.
Speaker AI go one day and the next day, you know, too late, oh, it's bad weather, oh, I got an early meeting and it always feels like that, you know, that kind of soggy, grody marshmallow kind of feeling, right?
Speaker AAnd no, I'm not a fan of marshmallows, but I could be.
Speaker ABut you know what I mean, that sort of getting in the way or another way to do it is I want to write a book and I love helping people do that because your story is the most powerful thing you own.
Speaker ANot your degrees, not your skills, not your modalities, not your engineering chops, your story of becoming.
Speaker ABut anyway, someone says, oh, you know, I've been told I should write a book.
Speaker AI want to.
Speaker AI don't know how nobody read it, nobody would read it.
Speaker AAnd it's in that same sort of gross victimy mentality or energy, right?
Speaker AIt's not the right time.
Speaker AI don't that sort of feeling Those are all ways we get in our way.
Speaker ASome are more subtle, where we have a long standing story about our worth, about our worthiness, about whether we deserve success or not.
Speaker AYou know, old scripts that were playing in our mind from teachers or parents or childhood experiences or an accumulation of things that says, you'll never do that.
Speaker ANot you.
Speaker ANow you know, you have heard and felt those.
Speaker ASo is everybody.
Speaker AIt's like as normal as breathing.
Speaker AThe question for all of us all the time is what are we going to do with that energy?
Speaker ABecause it exists, it's real.
Speaker ANow, you can call it human frailty, you can call it, in religious contexts, you know, negative.
Speaker AGod and devil, you can call it yin and yang, excuse me, call it whatever you want, but the truth is it's there.
Speaker ASteven Pressfield, I love his books, he calls it the resistance.
Speaker AAnd he personifies that as if the resistance were a thing.
Speaker AWell, you know what?
Speaker AIt is, And I don't think it has corporeal form like us.
Speaker AAnd I don't think there's, you know, boogeyman pushing on the other side of the door that you're trying to open.
Speaker ABut it feels like that.
Speaker AIt feels like there is the universe conspiring against you.
Speaker AYou're ready to go do something.
Speaker AYou can't find your keys, you're ready to create something.
Speaker AAnd you get a disturbing phone call.
Speaker ARight?
Speaker ANow there are things that happen on the other side also.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker ALast night, just getting ready to go to bed and for some reason, and I don't do phone stuff before bed, but as I lay my phone on the wireless charger, I saw a couple of messages.
Speaker AAnd so I just picked it up quick.
Speaker AAnd I'm pretty disciplined.
Speaker ATake it 10 or 15 second look.
Speaker AAnd both of them were really positive.
Speaker ABoth of them were yes and yes to two things that I had reached out and asked for that I wasn't sure about at all.
Speaker AYou know, can you do this?
Speaker ACan we do that?
Speaker AWhat they were doesn't matter, but they were yes and yes.
Speaker AAnd that was like somebody pushing the door open, the wind at my back helping go forward.
Speaker ASo there are positive things and there are negative things that just happen naturally in the course of life.
Speaker ANow I want to talk about where that comes from in quantum mechanics.
Speaker AWe're going to get technical here.
Speaker AParticles pop in and out of existence all the time, Right?
Speaker AWe now know that the vacuum of space isn't empty.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker AIt's not empty.
Speaker AIn fact, it is teeming, full, packed, stuffed with energy and activity.
Speaker AParticles are popping in and out of existence.
Speaker AWe also know that even things like, you know, when we were in school, there was a nucleus of an atom, and electrons were supposed to, like, float around it, roll around it, like orbits, like little planets.
Speaker AThat's not it at all.
Speaker AElectrons exist in some kind of a cloud, and they're not really anywhere until we go measure it, and then they collapse into a certain place.
Speaker AWhat a brilliant breakthrough.
Speaker AYou know what that literally means?
Speaker AIt means that the next second, the next minute, and the next hour exists in every possible form.
Speaker ARight now, every possible outcome is sitting there.
Speaker AAnd our participation, they call it observation and measurement.
Speaker ABut our participation in that outcome is not just a piece, it is determinative.
Speaker AWhat, you mean my participation in creating reality one minute from now has an impact?
Speaker AYes, a gigantic impact.
Speaker ASo that's what's giving rise all of that stuff together and those negative, squishy feelings and however you want to call, you know, Pressfield's resistance, I love that.
Speaker ASo I use that a lot in my own thinking and, you know, as a framing for how to talk about this.
Speaker AI call this no gatekeepers.
Speaker AThere's nobody there trying to stop you from imagining and creating next minute, next hour, next day's reality except you.
Speaker AThat's both horrifying and liberating.
Speaker AHorrifying because it gives incontrovertible proof, inescapable fact that we are the architects of our destiny, that we are the creators of our life.
Speaker AIt's good news for exactly the same reason you hold the keys.
Speaker ANobody else, nowhere, no how.
Speaker ASo let's go with that.
Speaker AThere's no rope.
Speaker AThere's a velvet rope keeping you in line.
Speaker ASo here are some fake gates.
Speaker AHere are some fake barriers, okay?
Speaker AOne is credentials.
Speaker AOne is credentials.
Speaker AWhen I decided I wanted to, quote, be a coach, and I first language that after, you know, I had the gigantic divine intervention in 2007, I spent a couple of years trying to get healthy and figure out who I was.
Speaker AIn 2009, going on 10, I started thinking about, how do I help people with this?
Speaker ABecause that's a natural outgrowth of every single person who overcomes challenge.
Speaker AThen I thought, well, what does that look like?
Speaker AAnd, you know, coaching first came into my mind and so forth.
Speaker ANow I'd been an executive C suite executive with many, many people and much millions, tens of millions, hundreds of millions, many, many hundreds of millions of dollars, responsibility.
Speaker ASo I knew what that felt like.
Speaker ABut I started thinking about coaching in the context of sharing what I had learned in my own growth and breakthrough.
Speaker AAnd that yearning pops up all the time.
Speaker AEvery person that I interview on this show, on LA talk radio shows that I'm on, many, many of them, they have the same experience, they talk about the same things.
Speaker AWe, when we overcome a challenge, we want to share the benefit.
Speaker AWe're built that way.
Speaker AWe're built to love and serve.
Speaker ASo when I first started thinking about coaching, I thought, well, I must need to do something.
Speaker ASo I looked up coaching schools and credentials and we're getting to be a coach meant and so forth.
Speaker AAnd I saw many and none of them looked any more powerful or interesting.
Speaker AThere's no regulatory body and there's no rules about that and people lament about that and there's cause for lament.
Speaker ABut truly the, the results do the segregating, they call the pool.
Speaker ABut anyway, so I thought, well, what do I need to do?
Speaker ASo I thought about getting some credentials and I did.
Speaker AI went to enroll in a couple of coaching schools and went through their curriculum and got, you know, professional certified, professional coach and certified, master coach and certified, extraordinary coach and certified, you know, master of this, that and the other.
Speaker AAnd there's a half a dozen.
Speaker AAnd you know what's funny about that?
Speaker AI call that a false gate because in the work that I've done in the 15 years now since then, I've never been asked about that except one time.
Speaker AOne time.
Speaker AAnd then it was a in passing sort of thing.
Speaker ASo that was fake.
Speaker AIt's an interesting crutch that some people use to both try to prove their excellence and a crutch that holds people back.
Speaker AWell, I'm going to hang my shingle and get busy to work when I finish this one more thing.
Speaker ASo I've done a couple of things and no magic happened.
Speaker AThere wasn't a big queue outside my door virtually or in real life.
Speaker AAnd so now I gotta, I must need to do another couple, I must need to have some more letters.
Speaker ACqxy, M, B, L, whatever after your name.
Speaker AOkay, fine.
Speaker AIt's not true.
Speaker AIt's a, it's a fake.
Speaker AIt's a fake gate.
Speaker ASo that's not a gate.
Speaker ANow here's another one that's a fake gate.
Speaker AAudience size.
Speaker ASo you see people online, if you, if you spend any time on social at all, bragging about their money, their cars, their income, first of all, how much they've got, and second of all, how fast they got it.
Speaker AOoh, I broke all the rules, got all the shortcuts.
Speaker AI can do this in 72 hours while you sleep.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker ABoom.
Speaker ASo audience size, amount of money and how fast they got there.
Speaker AThat's supposed to prove something to you now?
Speaker AI don't know.
Speaker AOne, is the audience size true?
Speaker AHalf that crap they use is all rented.
Speaker AMore than half, 90% rented.
Speaker ATrying to prove a point.
Speaker AWe can burn that garbage down right now because that means they're insecure, phony, and they're trying to bullshit you.
Speaker AAh, audience size.
Speaker ANext thing, how much money they have.
Speaker AYou don't know that.
Speaker AYou can't know that even if they post fake bank accounts.
Speaker ANow let's say the real bank accounts, let's say they did make 1 2, 10, $500 million.
Speaker AThat doesn't mean anything except they made 1, 2, 10, 50, $100 million.
Speaker AIt doesn't mean you can.
Speaker AIt doesn't mean you're the same as them.
Speaker AIt doesn't mean their path makes any sense for you.
Speaker AAnd so even if they share everything they did exactly as they did it, and let's say it's honest and it worked, it doesn't mean anything either.
Speaker AIt does mean they had some good success.
Speaker AAnd congratulations, they served the need and met it.
Speaker AAlthough we all know in the early days of Internet marketing, lots of those guys got burned, lost their fortunes, got sanctioned.
Speaker ASome went to jail for lying and cheating.
Speaker AAnd so now there's all these regulations and disclaimers and so forth.
Speaker ASo there's always cheaters and crooks.
Speaker AHopefully they all get caught.
Speaker ABut the idea of barriers is there.
Speaker AI need to follow them or else I won't make it.
Speaker AI need to be like them or else I suck.
Speaker AI need to be able to make the same claims they do or I don't count.
Speaker AThat's not true.
Speaker AIt never was and it never will be.
Speaker AA third barrier that is fake is perfect timing.
Speaker AI'm not ready.
Speaker AI'm too busy.
Speaker AI'll do it in my next season, next week, next year, as soon as I finish this, that or the other.
Speaker AThat's not true either.
Speaker ANow there is a time for doing things, but that is wildly overused as an excuse to camouflage fear and not get started.
Speaker ABullshit.
Speaker AYou're a divine person.
Speaker AYou have the capability.
Speaker AAnd the day to start is yesterday.
Speaker AAnd since that's not available today, we'll have to do.
Speaker AI want you to tattoo that on your forehead.
Speaker AThe best day to start was yesterday.
Speaker AAnd that's not available.
Speaker ASo let's start today.
Speaker ANo harm, no foul, no drama.
Speaker ARight now is the day to start moving toward your dream to purpose, prosperity and joy.
Speaker AYou don't have a purpose.
Speaker APick one.
Speaker ATry it on.
Speaker AMaybe it's just to be a better person.
Speaker AMaybe it's to tell the truth.
Speaker AMaybe it's to make a million dollars.
Speaker AMaybe it's to grow a real estate practice.
Speaker AMaybe it's to repair some damage you did.
Speaker AI had a whole lot of those goals.
Speaker AStill do.
Speaker ABecause there's lots of things that exist in the world today that wouldn't exist in my imagination.
Speaker AI think I wish this wasn't this way, and I blame it on something I did or didn't do.
Speaker AI don't actually know if that's true, and neither do you.
Speaker ABut those thoughts still come forward.
Speaker ANow, here's the key.
Speaker AIf I allow those thoughts, or you do, to be a barrier to action.
Speaker AIf I allow that to happen, all that does is dim my light or it dims yours.
Speaker ASo let's say there's a relationship right now that isn't like I want.
Speaker AIf I say I can't act until that relationship is fixed, I don't control that.
Speaker ATwo sides to every relationship.
Speaker AIf I've offered and done and loved and that person or persons say, no, I'm not ready yet.
Speaker ANot now, not time.
Speaker AMaybe say, no, not ever.
Speaker AOkay?
Speaker AThat means I have given my power falsely to the state of another relationship.
Speaker AAnd that person or persons may say to you, you don't deserve.
Speaker AYou can't.
Speaker AYou should grovel, kiss the and die 50 times before you could even begin to be worthy.
Speaker AYou know, something extreme like that.
Speaker AAll that does is create a false barrier for you and or me.
Speaker AAnd it deprives all those you could have served, all those you could have loved, you could have lifted, you could have blessed with your experience, with your choices, with the new you.
Speaker AIf you've changed.
Speaker AWhen I talk about forgiveness, there's three steps.
Speaker AFix what you can.
Speaker AChange who you are.
Speaker AAdd good to the world.
Speaker AFix what you can.
Speaker AAnd most of that hard stuff can't be fixed.
Speaker AYou can try.
Speaker AYou can work on it.
Speaker ABut erase not possible.
Speaker AChange who you are.
Speaker AAnd that's actually the most important thing.
Speaker AIf you have done something as I did, that you say, I wish I hadn't done that, it's going to ruin my life forever.
Speaker AOr maybe a few steps down from that.
Speaker AChange who you are.
Speaker ADon't be that person starting this minute.
Speaker AOkay, I'm not that.
Speaker AShakespeare said that two brothers and they had a big fight.
Speaker AWhatever.
Speaker AOne of them finally changed and he said, and someone attacked him for his change.
Speaker AAnd he said, yeah, twas I, tis not I, meaning I have changed.
Speaker AIt's in as you like it, if you want the details.
Speaker ABut anyway, so those are imaginary barriers.
Speaker AAnd the net result of all that is that you just sit there as a dull candle instead of a flaming fire.
Speaker AYou let that shadow you in the background.
Speaker AAnd I like said, I use that AI picture of me in the background.
Speaker AYou let that shadow you have the reins.
Speaker AWhy would you do that?
Speaker AThink of all the sorrow you could alleviate and the suffering you could help and the love you could share, both for yourself and others.
Speaker AIf you say I'm done, I'm going to do everything I can here and now.
Speaker ABecause I can.
Speaker ABecause it's who I am.
Speaker AYou deserve and must forgive yourself for everything, everywhere, all the time, Right here, right now.
Speaker AWhy?
Speaker ASo your light is clean.
Speaker ASo you can shine brightly.
Speaker ASo you can do the good that you can.
Speaker ABecause without that, you won't.
Speaker AAll right, so here is, here's an interesting story.
Speaker AOkay, here's the promise.
Speaker AIf you drop these fake gates, the idea that you have to have more current credentials or reach or audience size or forgiveness or permission from someone or perfect timing, if you drop all those, then there's nothing in the way to do what you want to do.
Speaker AWriting a book is one that I love.
Speaker ASo I'm going to do a little plug here for dream buildwriteit.com.
Speaker Anow, if you're watching the video, and I hope you are, dream buildwriteit.com that's a book challenge and it doesn't cost money.
Speaker AIt does cost an hour a day for five days, the week of September 29th through the 3rd.
Speaker AAnd if you see this after that date has passed, go there anyway because I'm going to do one in 26, probably in the first part of February.
Speaker AOkay?
Speaker AI did three this year and they've been very successful.
Speaker AAnd here's why I say successful.
Speaker AThere have been many who have gone to the challenge and then come with me on a six month journey to mine the gold mine, the platinum mine, the silver mine, whatever is valuable, right?
Speaker AThe lithium mine, to mine the value of your own life story.
Speaker ABecause I don't know, I don't care what you know how to do.
Speaker AYou know how to code, you know how to write game code, you know how to garden, you know how to do engineering, you know how to do attorney work, you're an attorney, you know how to do medical work.
Speaker AThose are beautiful and necessary gifts.
Speaker AMore important to both you and those you serve is the story of your becoming.
Speaker AHow did you get where you are as a loving, kind person yearning to serve that journey is more important.
Speaker AAnd the more vulnerably and freely you share that, the more powerful you are, the more lives you can change and the more good you will add to the world.
Speaker AAll right, so here's.
Speaker AHere's the start here game.
Speaker AThe start here game is what I want you to do.
Speaker ALet's play a game, okay?
Speaker ANumber one, write a name down right now that you could help this week.
Speaker AI'm not talking about signing a client.
Speaker AYou know that all may come, but sometimes we just need to start.
Speaker AIn fact, most of the time.
Speaker AWell begun is half done is a phrase attributed to someone, I don't know who said that well begun is half done.
Speaker AAnd the reason is because most people don't start.
Speaker AThey make up reasons and hide behind these false barriers.
Speaker ABut there's no gatekeeper.
Speaker AThat's what we started with.
Speaker AThere is no gatekeeper except the one between your ears.
Speaker ASo I challenge you.
Speaker AI dare you.
Speaker AWrite a name down right now.
Speaker AI have six in my mind right now.
Speaker AAnd I've already made arrangements today to do some helping with those people.
Speaker AI sent some messages.
Speaker AI'm doing that.
Speaker AI'm sharing that with you because I'm in the game with you.
Speaker AI'm in that game every single day.
Speaker ASo it wouldn't matter what day I said this, what day I recorded it, or what day you listened to it.
Speaker AI am in that game every single day.
Speaker AI spend two hours in the morning preparing myself to be the ultimate alchemist.
Speaker AI've spent that two hours preparing my spirit, my body, my emotional relations, my relationships.
Speaker AI call that E and spam.
Speaker AEmotions and my mind, mental work.
Speaker AI literally spend a couple of hours filling my cup being that person.
Speaker AAnd during the E part, I think of several names and I send messages of love, hope, encouragement, light lifting, assistance, offering help.
Speaker AI did that a couple of days ago to someone.
Speaker AExcuse me.
Speaker AAnd I left a voice text because I love using voice.
Speaker ABecause I've been blessed with a resonant and powerful voice.
Speaker ASo I use it.
Speaker AI got a note this morning with all caps.
Speaker AWow, thank you so much.
Speaker ABlah, blah, blah.
Speaker ANow, I don't say that.
Speaker ASo, yeah, I feel good.
Speaker AYeah, I did a good thing.
Speaker AIt accomplished the mission.
Speaker AI blessed his life.
Speaker AAnd I love him just because I said so.
Speaker ABut you know what?
Speaker AI love you right here, right now, and you can't change that.
Speaker AI yearn for your growth.
Speaker AI see your divine possibility.
Speaker AI know what you are capable of.
Speaker AAnd the reason I know is because we came from the same place.
Speaker AWe were created in love and in that and behind that and around that love is infinite possibility.
Speaker AThere are no limits to what you or I can do.
Speaker AIf we're willing to get rid of the shadow band, if we're willing to eliminate the naysayer in our own mind, become willing to remember that failures of the past or indictments of others don't carry any weight in the present unless we let them.
Speaker AYour key to unlock the gate of freedom is in your hand.
Speaker ASo step one, okay.
Speaker APick a person you can help reach.
Speaker AStep two is reach out to them in whatever way is appropriate.
Speaker AText, voicemail, live phone call, email, whatever way it is, Acknowledge them.
Speaker ASay something good to them about them.
Speaker ABeen thinking about you.
Speaker AI remember the last time we talked and I've been thinking about this, that and the other.
Speaker AI'll give you an example.
Speaker AI got an email today from someone who is very successful, very, very, very wealthy, and who is also.
Speaker AWho also decided in the last two weeks that they were going to help me get to my goal of 300 million.
Speaker AWow.
Speaker AI didn't even ask.
Speaker AThey reached out because someone told them they should meet.
Speaker ASo we had a call.
Speaker AThey dedicated an hour.
Speaker AThey dug in and asked lots of questions about what I'm up to and why and all the rest.
Speaker AAnd they've decided to do that.
Speaker AAnd that has an impact on me, both emotionally, because I'm excited.
Speaker AI got someone that's involved spiritually because I know that my daily preparation work organizes the forces in the universe, just like we talked about to start with, the future is not decided.
Speaker AIt is uncertain until we create it.
Speaker APart of that creation involved this individual now saying, I'm going to help you do this.
Speaker AAnd gave me.
Speaker ASo the email I got today with several suggestions that they have based on their experience and knowledge and vast success about how to more successfully measure my progress to 300 and amplify.
Speaker ASo they decided they're going to help me.
Speaker AYou can decide that for someone.
Speaker AI do every day.
Speaker AAnd now it has come back in a surprising and I believe, very powerful way that power will help create, purpose or drive my purpose, accomplish purpose, prosperity and joy.
Speaker ABecause if I reach 300 million people with the message of your own worth, your own identity, your own possibility, which is infinite, the ownership of your life.
Speaker ABecause there's no gatekeeper sovereignty.
Speaker AYou're the king or queen of everything in your life.
Speaker AIf I reach people with that message and change, allow them, encourage them, invite them, and help them to change how they look at life.
Speaker AGetting out behind from behind their own gatekeepers, getting those naysaying Voices and thoughts out of the way, moved aside, thanked, and then benched.
Speaker AYou know, those feelings were trying to protect us.
Speaker AAt one point, right in the idea of psychological parts work, I have a part named the Protector.
Speaker AAnd I had a conversation with the Protector for several hours one day on a long walk.
Speaker AAnd part of the language was, I just.
Speaker AI'm doing this all to protect you.
Speaker AAnd I said, protect me from what?
Speaker AAnd the answer surprised me.
Speaker AI'm protecting you from nothing being nothing by doing nothing.
Speaker AIn other words, from the obliteration of failure and oblivion by not finishing, not starting doing, you know, not doing.
Speaker AAnd the answer surprised me, and I realized how insidious the resistance can be with the idea that it is doing us a favor, helping and protecting.
Speaker ASo write a name down.
Speaker AWrite out specifically how you think you can help them, how you think you could do that, do something for them, and then offer.
Speaker AAnd in some cases, just do it.
Speaker AI'll tell you one of the ways that I do that with clients and with others that are not clients.
Speaker AWhen I troll or troll, I don't troll, scroll social, which I do maybe 15 minutes in a day.
Speaker AI find every good uplifting thing from anyone that I know.
Speaker AI don't usually comment much on things that I, you know, that are just general posts, but everybody that I know, whose name I recognize, I will comment, I will encourage, I will love them, and I will do it on purpose and in a visible, visceral way the best I can in just a few seconds.
Speaker AWhy?
Speaker ABecause I love them.
Speaker ABecause I can.
Speaker ABecause I said so.
Speaker AAnd you have that power, too now.
Speaker AThat's with others.
Speaker AI want you to do that for yourself.
Speaker ASo let's pretend you're in the business of encouraging you.
Speaker AStep outside of you for a minute, like me and this guy behind me, the me behind me.
Speaker AAnd if you were the perfect, or as close as you can be to the perfect encourager, the perfect cheerleader, the perfect idea generator, what would you tell him or her?
Speaker AThat's like.
Speaker AIt's kind of like the question, if you could write a letter to yourself a year ago or 10 years ago or 20 years ago or whatever, what would you say?
Speaker AAnd those kinds of comments always sound the same.
Speaker AIt's gonna be okay.
Speaker ABe yourself, dare more, take more risks.
Speaker ANone of that really matters.
Speaker AKeep going.
Speaker AYou're wonderful.
Speaker AYou're powerful.
Speaker AIsn't it interesting?
Speaker AI've never heard someone ask that question or a similar question, say something like, you're stupid.
Speaker AYou're wrong.
Speaker AIt's going to get worse.
Speaker AI'VE never heard that.
Speaker AI've never heard anybody even think that.
Speaker ARight?
Speaker AWe play small.
Speaker AWe play small because we live behind the velvet rope.
Speaker AWe live behind the gatekeeper who is performing the function of resistance.
Speaker AMaybe imagining they're protecting us, but they're not.
Speaker AThey're keeping your light small.
Speaker AThey're keeping your power contained.
Speaker ABecause it is a risk.
Speaker AIt is a risk to be vulnerable.
Speaker AIt is a risk to go out out there.
Speaker AIt is a risk to stake your claim.
Speaker AI'm finishing a book right now, and by the time you see this, it will probably be published because we're on a very short timeline.
Speaker AThe name of that book is Coaching and the Rise of AI.
Speaker AIn it, I'm making a bold claim, and I've already made it some on social, that coaching is dying.
Speaker ACoaching as we know it is getting hollowed out.
Speaker ACoaching as we know it is getting obliterated.
Speaker AI predict without hesitation that by 15 months from now, Christmas of 26, 95% of coaches will not be able to make a living.
Speaker AAnd I define making a living is 100k us arbitrary, but that's a minimum threshold.
Speaker AIf you're not making 100 or very close to it, it's really hard to make a living.
Speaker AIt's got to be a side hustle or whatever.
Speaker AAnd then you're busy, you know, handling multiple things.
Speaker AAnd life's probably a pretty busy grind.
Speaker ASo.
Speaker AAnd the reason it is is because AI is so fast and so good at writing, at synthesizing, at frameworks, at accountability, at, you know, analyzing patterns and on and on and on and on.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AAnd so I'm writing this book and I'm making some ridiculously bold claims.
Speaker AYou know what else I'm doing?
Speaker AI'm starting a university.
Speaker AJanuary 2026, called your ultimate life coaching university.
Speaker AThe students I'm aiming at are those who want to be in that top 5% of coaches that are left.
Speaker AAnd in the book, I make bold declarations about what it takes to be in the 5%, why the 5% are the only ones that are gonna survive right now.
Speaker AMy point is this.
Speaker AI'm sticking my neck way, way, way, way, way out there, like out to the moon.
Speaker AAnd am I risking?
Speaker AYeah, I've already had some people pissed off because of my social posts.
Speaker AI've already had some people say, oh, it's just a marketing.
Speaker ANo, it's an actual observation based on my own interactions with AI in the writing of this book itself over the last three months.
Speaker AIt's taken me about three months to outline it and put it together and write it and I'll finish editing tomorrow and I'm sending it to someone to write a forward and you know, the publication I've already got, the publisher contracted and everything else we're moving.
Speaker AIn the last three months, I've seen the capability and speed, accuracy, power, clarity, et cetera, et cetera of the.
Speaker AThe.
Speaker AI happen to use Chat GPT, but there's lots of models.
Speaker ADouble its ability to write clear, good language, to synthesize good stuff.
Speaker AAnd yeah, I've uploaded all my books, Chad GPT.
Speaker AAnd I joke a little bit back and forth.
Speaker AI know they're not real.
Speaker AIt's got more than a million, way, way more than a million words of mine.
Speaker AIn fact, it estimated that if I uploaded all my podcast transcripts, it would be somewhere between 4 and 10 million words.
Speaker ASo it knows me, it knows how I speak, what I think and everything else.
Speaker ASo I've used it a lot for research and for outlines and everything else as I do this work.
Speaker AAnd I've seen its capacity double in three months.
Speaker AWell, that means three months.
Speaker AThree months.
Speaker AThat means in a year it's going to be eight times as good.
Speaker AIn two years it's going to be, you know, 64, 128 times as fast and good.
Speaker ASo the, the.
Speaker AThere's no end in sight, right?
Speaker ALimitless, essentially.
Speaker AAnd so if you're going to be in the business, my thesis is you got to have something AI can't bring.
Speaker AAnd you know what that is?
Speaker AThat is the embodiment that means you manifest it in your body.
Speaker AIf you walk.
Speaker ALet's talk about what that means.
Speaker AIf you walk into a room with a shy person or someone who's very, very withdrawn and shy, walks in the room, they carry an energy, an energy that says, don't talk to me.
Speaker AMaybe a little bit fearful, maybe a little bit hiding, maybe a little bit.
Speaker AMaybe you are one, maybe you're not.
Speaker AI used to be.
Speaker AI remember as a teenager being such a bad wallflower at dances, I would just hide and, you know, go to the bathroom a lot and pretend I was listening to the band and whatever because I was so scared, so withdrawn.
Speaker AOn the other hand, if you come in with a meet or come into a place with a person who is not that, who's confident, I don't mean brash or arrogant, but just capable, comfortable in their own skin, you know that right away, too.
Speaker ATheir energetics give you that feeling, you're comfortable with them.
Speaker AThey might ask you something.
Speaker AOn the other hand, if Third person.
Speaker AIf you walk in to a place with someone who is arrogant, overbearing, brash, you know, and their, their lack of confidence is, you know, being dealt with, with overcompensation, you know that too.
Speaker ASo that's what I mean by embodiment.
Speaker AThat energy that we give off is always that truth.
Speaker AIt is the truth of who we are inside.
Speaker ACoaches that are going to last are those who can and who do not can, who are the embodiment of the changes they try to help clients achieve.
Speaker AGetting out of their own way, that means they are out of their own way, that means they are leveraging gifts and talents to create.
Speaker AThat means they are in touch with their divinity, capability and possibility.
Speaker APeople who pretend they're coaches and don't have that are going to be gone.
Speaker AUp to now, that wasn't true because there wasn't any alternative.
Speaker AAnd so tons of them have limped along, hidden by their own gatekeepers, not embodying their truth, limp, limp, limp, and made a little bit of money.
Speaker AIt's already true that 60% of coaches don't make 50k.
Speaker AAnd there's other numbers in there too.
Speaker AIn my research, you can read the book, but that embodiment is the ante to the new world.
Speaker AWell, that ought to scare the crap out of you if you're a consultant or you're a coach, especially if you're a coach, because without that embodiment, AI is going to eat your lunch.
Speaker ASo that's what the thesis of the book is about.
Speaker AAnd this podcast isn't about that.
Speaker AI'm going to give a detailed one later about what I hope coaches can do and learn and the reason why I'm opening the university.
Speaker AMy point about it is this.
Speaker AI'm doing that.
Speaker AI'm putting that out there to be agreed with ridiculed, smashed ground, whatever it is.
Speaker ANow, here's the thing, here's your dead on challenge.
Speaker AIf the stuff I've talked about today, your own gatekeepers, if that scares you, if you're saying, I know I'm getting in my own way, I'm blocking my own progress, sabotaging my efforts, if you know that's true, please reach out to me.
Speaker AMy goal of reaching 300 million is not just with the message, but it is with the method and the help to overcome that.
Speaker ABecause if you're buried by your own gatekeeper, you're not adding good to the world the way you could and heaven knows we need it.
Speaker AWe need all the encouragement, growth, power, love, kindness we can get.
Speaker ANow, maybe you're in the widget business and you don't have anything to do with consulting or coaching or anything like that.
Speaker AThat's fine.
Speaker AThis is still a choice for you about how you show up.
Speaker ADo you show up every day small or do you show up every day expansive, loving, encouraging, powerful, growth oriented, just because you can.
Speaker ARight?
Speaker AAnd let me tell you why that matters.
Speaker AWho would you rather do business with?
Speaker ASome grumpy ass person or somebody that's open and loving and kind?
Speaker AI don't care what the business transaction is.
Speaker AWe went, Joy and I went to the store yesterday and just the grocery store down the street and we picked up a couple things and we got in line and it was a short line, two or three minute wait.
Speaker AAnd then the cashier greeted us and was nice and said some things and whatever.
Speaker ANow that person's a cashier in a grocery store.
Speaker ABut they have chosen to come to work and be encouraging, loving, open, kind, and the energy was congruent.
Speaker AWell, that interaction was pleasant.
Speaker AIt added good to the world.
Speaker AThat's a choice we make all the time.
Speaker AOur gatekeepers keep us small.
Speaker AOur gatekeepers tell us lies like you don't matter and who cares and nobody wants to talk to you.
Speaker AIf you want to get past your gatekeeper, you got to take a step today.
Speaker ASo I'm going to pretend right now you're a, you're a coach or a consultant.
Speaker AWhat can you do today or tomorrow?
Speaker AIf this is at nighttime that gets past the gatekeeper that says I'm here, I'm no longer limited.
Speaker AHow many people would you reach out to?
Speaker AHow many direct messages would you send?
Speaker AHow many phone calls would you make?
Speaker AHow many clients would you check in and encourage?
Speaker ACheck in with and encourage?
Speaker AHow would.
Speaker AIf you have a job and you're trying to build a coaching practice, I have clients like that too that have a full time job and they do good, they make good, good dough.
Speaker ABut their life experience has led them to want to coach and help and serve because of their own journey.
Speaker ARemember I said that was the most powerful thing you got.
Speaker ASo they're building a practice.
Speaker ASo I asked them the same thing.
Speaker AHow many people are you going to reach out to?
Speaker AWhat does it look like?
Speaker AWhat is the invitation?
Speaker AWhat is on offer?
Speaker AOn offer may be just a simple conversation.
Speaker AOne conversation is more important than a thousand, ten thousand likes on a post.
Speaker ASo if you think you're going to build, get past your gatekeeper with social posting and hide behind that anonymity, you're full of crap.
Speaker AYou're Full of crap.
Speaker AAnd I don't mean that to insult you.
Speaker AOne conversation's more important than 10,000 of those.
Speaker AOne conversation where you or I show up in love, invitation, kindness, growth, openness trumps any number of, you know, social, social media interactions.
Speaker ANow here's some other feeling.
Speaker AIf you, if you make a commitment tomorrow, I'm going to do these things.
Speaker ASend five messages, invite five people to conversation, right?
Speaker AAnd the messages, you're concerned about them or meeting them or whatever it is.
Speaker ALike, this isn't a, a marketing or enrollment episode, although we have done those.
Speaker ABut be prepared to do that.
Speaker ATo say no to the gatekeeper.
Speaker ATo say no to the gatekeeper.
Speaker ABecause they're not real.
Speaker AThe effects are real, but they don't have to block you.
Speaker AOne more second.
Speaker ANow I have three invitations for you.
Speaker ANumber one, if any of this stuckness resonates in your heart, reach out to me.
Speaker AMy mission is to help 300 million people create wealth and impact with your life story, your skills and your gifts.
Speaker AI have that message.
Speaker AI have it powerfully and in a way that will blow your mind and change your heart.
Speaker ANext, I have methods, processes that are all battle tested.
Speaker AAnd by that I mean all on me and on many clients that accomplish those things and eliminate the barriers, the gatekeepers, the fear mongers, the naysayer of our own mind, our inner critic, and give you tools to ignore the sometimes well meaning but useless input of others.
Speaker ASo I have that for you if you want it.
Speaker AThe other invitation is if you have a story that's keeping you stuck or a story that you used to have, sorry, keeping you stuck, and you have overcome that.
Speaker AMaybe you've overcome depression or illness or addictions or divorces or bankruptcy or betrayals or all of those roles into one.
Speaker AAnd you said, no, I won't be that.
Speaker AI was interviewed on a podcast a couple of days ago and that was the whole premise.
Speaker AThis person had had many failures and now they had overcome those and they were trying to highlight others.
Speaker AYou know, I love them, we're doing exactly the same thing.
Speaker ASo it was a good show and we had the opportunity to, you know, share experiences and lift and bless his audience.
Speaker AIf you have a story of overcoming, a story of your becoming a story of your choices to get past the gatekeeper, I want to share it.
Speaker AI want to let my audience hear you and I want to meet you.
Speaker AI want to honor you.
Speaker AI want to see you.
Speaker AThe third invitation is this one right down here.
Speaker ADream Build.
Speaker AWrite it.
Speaker AIf you're watching the video, Dream build.
Speaker AWrite it.
Speaker AWhoops.
Speaker ADream buildwriteit.com and the reason I'm sharing that with you is because if your story remains untold, it remains untapped.
Speaker AYou may use snippets of it here and there, but I can make you a sacred promise.
Speaker AThe work of doing the story arc, which is a process to mine.
Speaker AThat story will change your life, blow your mind, and it'll give you confidence and capability you can't imagine.
Speaker APromise.
Speaker ASo go to dream buildwriteit.com I mentioned that earlier, but I'm mentioning it again as our final invitation.
Speaker ALastly, as we close, I want you to know that I love you.
Speaker AYou're a divine being.
Speaker AYou have infinite gifts and talents.
Speaker AAnd you've heard that a million times and it doesn't matter unless you decide to do something.
