Speaker AThat's what this says.
Speaker AThe question is, what are you doing with the rest of the year?
Speaker AWelcome to the show.
Speaker ATired of the hype about living the dream.
Speaker AIt's time for truth.
Speaker AThis is the place for tools, power and real talk.
Speaker ASo you can create the life you dream and deserve your ultimate life.
Speaker ASubscribe, share, create.
Speaker AYou have infinite power.
Speaker AForeign.
Speaker AYou've got five and a half months left.
Speaker AFive months, maybe four and a half.
Speaker ABy the time you see this, are you going to waste it?
Speaker AIs it going to feel like the first half?
Speaker AIsn't it time to take control right here, right now and give yourself something amazing for New Year's?
Speaker AI think so.
Speaker ASo the question I'm starting with here is what is this year really about?
Speaker AIs it just survival?
Speaker AAre you just going to do the same?
Speaker AAre you actually living?
Speaker ANow, before you blow me off and think, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever, here's what I want you to just slow down for a minute and think about what happens day to day for you.
Speaker ALike what happens.
Speaker ADo you love your days?
Speaker AWhen you wake up in the morning, do you hit snooze several times?
Speaker ADo you dread getting up and hitting in the day?
Speaker AOr do you fly out of bed and dash into your morning ritual?
Speaker AOr I call it a dcp Daily Creation Process because you're so excited about what is on your schedule, what you've chosen to put on your calendar?
Speaker AOne of the common answers I get to this is this.
Speaker AWell, it depends on the day.
Speaker ANo, it doesn't.
Speaker AThat's completely bogus.
Speaker AIt only depends on the day.
Speaker AIf you say so.
Speaker AIf you say it depends on the day, then you bet your life it depends on the day.
Speaker AAnd what you've done is you have given power for joy, productivity, creativity, love, excitement, whatever goody, wonderful, powerful words you want to use, you've given that away.
Speaker AYou've given that power to the schedule you created or to somebody else.
Speaker ALike you've given it away.
Speaker AAren't you tired of giving away your sovereignty?
Speaker AAren't you tired of giving away your kingdom, your fortune?
Speaker AYou know your fortune.
Speaker AYour real fortune is your heart, your love, your excitement, your happiness.
Speaker ANobody lays on their deathbed and said, I wish I had more money.
Speaker AI wish I had more love, deeper relationships, smelled the roses.
Speaker AYou know the list, you've seen it.
Speaker ASo how do you think that happens?
Speaker AI don't know.
Speaker ABut let me tell you what I think.
Speaker AI think what happens is we know that we hear that over and over again.
Speaker ADo the things that are important of Course.
Speaker AAnd then we don't.
Speaker AYeah, but I just got to get this done first.
Speaker AYeah, I know, but.
Speaker AYeah, but.
Speaker AYeah, but.
Speaker AYeah, but reminds me of Bugs Bunny.
Speaker AWabbit.
Speaker AWebbit, Webbit.
Speaker ARight.
Speaker AYeah, but.
Speaker AIs a poison dart to your heart, right.
Speaker AIt's a stab in your sovereignty, a stab in your divinity.
Speaker AYeah, but I got to do this first.
Speaker AYeah, but the weather sucks.
Speaker AYeah, but I'm going bankrupt.
Speaker AYeah, but none of that matters.
Speaker AIt just doesn't matter.
Speaker ALet me give you an example.
Speaker AYesterday morning.
Speaker ANow it won't be yesterday morning when you hear this because it's coming out in a few weeks, but as I record this, yesterday morning, I get up at 4:30.
Speaker AI get up at 5 usually, but a little early yesterday, 4:30 and I get up diving into my day.
Speaker AI live and love that.
Speaker AI live every day that way.
Speaker AI love it.
Speaker ABy 5:00, I was so excited about what I had to do today, I couldn't stand it.
Speaker AI was in the middle of my DCP daily creation process.
Speaker ALoving it, loving it, loving it.
Speaker AAbout 10 after 5, Joy said something to me.
Speaker AShe's in bed and she usually doesn't get up till 8 or 8:30.
Speaker AYou know, we work a different bit of a schedule.
Speaker AShe works later than I do.
Speaker AI'm in bed by 9:30 and up at 5.
Speaker AAnd she said something about her cat named Rubisco.
Speaker AShe said, I think I need to take Rubisco's foaming at the mouth.
Speaker AI need to take her to the vet, the emergency vet clinic, 24 hour thing.
Speaker ANow over the last couple of weeks we've been, she's been there and she was on IV fluids and some other stuff for five days or six.
Speaker AAnd we had only had her home for about a week, maybe 10 days.
Speaker ASo maybe it was three weeks ago, I don't know.
Speaker ABut anyway, and, and she had been getting better and now she was, it seemed like she was crashing again.
Speaker AAnd I said, okay, great, you know, go for it.
Speaker AAnd then she said, will you come with me?
Speaker AAnd I said without even blinking, of course I will.
Speaker AKnowing completely well that all the stuff that I had planned to do in my mind, in my excitement and doing my morning ritual and everything was not going to get done.
Speaker AI knew that and I didn't care, not even one millionth of a molecule because at that moment we have the cat in distress that is absolutely near and dear to Joy's heart.
Speaker AAnd I wouldn't think about doing anything else.
Speaker AAnd there was not a shred of thought of, oh, Dear XYZ won't get done.
Speaker AI'm not saying yay me because I didn't used to be like that.
Speaker AThat was a developed skill because I didn't like me the other way.
Speaker AI didn't like the other person who was okay, whether it was energetically or physically or anything.
Speaker AOkay, yeah, we'll do that.
Speaker ABut I got to hurry back because I got all this stuff to do.
Speaker AAnd so it turned out we took the cat to the vet.
Speaker AIt was not a good prognosis.
Speaker AWe were there about an hour, an hour and a half, 20 or 30 minutes and the doctor came in, very kind and you know, knew the history because they were the clinic where the cat had been and said, you know, not, not gonna make it.
Speaker ASo we had to make the difficult decision to put her down.
Speaker AThen Joy realized that our, our youngster 10 year old Ukrainian daughter who lives with us, with her mother and has for three plus years would probably want to say goodbye.
Speaker ASo we went home, got her, brought her back, had a goodbye ceremony and again the doctor was just amazingly kind and we put the cat to sleep and then we drove all the way out to a place that we've used for pet cremation and this is our fourth animal.
Speaker AAnd you know, and that took a long time.
Speaker AAnd then we came back and did some things and I had a doctor appointment in the afternoon already scheduled from a while ago because I've got some crazy stuff going on in my balance, my head that they don't know what is, etc.
Speaker AEtc.
Speaker ABottom line is the whole day between the outcome of what I did at the doctor that I had to go do, then I had to go immediately and take a blood test.
Speaker AAnd because there was some very concerning things, I had to go get some immediate medic medication because he saw a symptom or two that for him was 91 1.
Speaker ASo it was like right now, either go to emerge or go get this med and do it and do a blood test and we'll do this stuff afterwards.
Speaker ASo the whole day, start to finish, five in the morning, tonight gone, done, not a thing.
Speaker AAnd I loved every minute of it.
Speaker AI lived and loved in it.
Speaker ANow my point about being focused and clear is I didn't outsource my joy.
Speaker AMy joy is in me.
Speaker AMy joy is also my wife.
Speaker ABut my joy, my ability to have love.
Speaker ALove creates server.
Speaker AMy three words, that that's on me.
Speaker AAnd so I chose to love it all.
Speaker AAnd we had a very tender bunch of time, you know, taken the cat out, rubisco out to this, you know, pet mortuary place and all the things that were associated with that preparation.
Speaker AIt was glorious.
Speaker AIt was beautiful, and it was a blessing.
Speaker AAnd, yep, trashed everything I was going to do.
Speaker AAnd now I got that stuff stacked up starting today.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AI love it.
Speaker AI love it, I love it.
Speaker ASo my question, when I say to you, what's this year about?
Speaker AHow's your day gonna start or go?
Speaker AThat's on you.
Speaker AYou can get mad at me for saying it, but it is.
Speaker AAnd there is a gift in every event.
Speaker AI got an email from a friend of mine this morning that said about that, about finding the gift in every situation.
Speaker AAnd the language was different, but I love that.
Speaker AAnd I went back over some thinking in my mind about everything that's happened to me and since 2017 to now, in the last eight years, oh, two or three lifetimes worth of emergency stuff, gallbladder surgery, emergency spinal surgery, dying in 2018, being paralyzed a few months later in 2018.
Speaker AI mean, the list is on and on and on.
Speaker AAnd I just thought about it, and I thought about the massive and awesome gift in each situation.
Speaker ASo it wasn't about will there be a gift?
Speaker AOr talking about the idea of a gift.
Speaker ABut I went found them again for the umpteenth time.
Speaker ASo I said this in the beginning because I want to get rid of this idea that it depends on anything but you.
Speaker ASo now let's go back to the initial question.
Speaker AWhat is this year about for you or the rest of this year?
Speaker AWhat are you going to give yourself by Christmas or by New Year's that you don't have right this minute?
Speaker AIt might be emotional, might be financial, might be a bunch of cash.
Speaker AIt might be spiritual, might be in relationships.
Speaker AIt might be physically.
Speaker AAll of those things are absolutely legitimate goals, and you might be doing two or three of them at the same time.
Speaker AI find trying to work on 20 goals is too hard, but three or four big ones, you can do that.
Speaker AEspecially if you're looking at 90 days or a year or something like that.
Speaker ASo here's the question for you.
Speaker AWhat is this year about?
Speaker AWhat gift will you give yourself?
Speaker AThat's an honest and fair question.
Speaker AAnd if you're going to get the value out of this time together, I want you to do it.
Speaker AThink about and write it on paper.
Speaker AIf the rest of your year had a theme, what would it be?
Speaker AWhat would that be like?
Speaker ADon't wait for New Year's resolutions or for Labor Day in the school year to start, or summer Vacay to be over.
Speaker ADon't do that.
Speaker AWhy would you just trash all the days between now and then?
Speaker ALike.
Speaker ALike, you're obviously free to do that, but most of the people that listen to this show and that I talk to that are guests here on LA Talk Radio, they're about adding good to the world.
Speaker AThey're about doing something.
Speaker AI'm continually blown away by the number of people that I meet, you included, that have something in their heart they want to give to the world.
Speaker AWell, are you doing it?
Speaker AAre you doing it full on?
Speaker AAre you dribbling it out in drips and drabs?
Speaker AReally and truly?
Speaker ABecause that's on you.
Speaker ANow.
Speaker AHere's the thing I love about being a coach, an alchemist.
Speaker AThe alchemist of peace, prosperity, cash, magic, soul, contentment and fulfillment.
Speaker AAlchemy.
Speaker APart magic and part science.
Speaker ALike, if you're not living that life of total joy, let's fix it.
Speaker AYou're invited to get a hold of me.
Speaker AThere's a website right there, kellenfluker media.com.
Speaker Athere's a contact form on that website.
Speaker AThat website's about.
Speaker AShows you all my books and all that stuff.
Speaker ABut there's a contact form there.
Speaker AGet a hold of me.
Speaker ALet's talk.
Speaker ABecause you deserve to live in joy.
Speaker ANow, the truth is, you got to create it.
Speaker ASo let's go back to the next piece, which is the rest of the year is a blob.
Speaker AYou know, depending on when you hear this, it might be four months, four and a half months, five months, depends on when you hear it.
Speaker ABut it's a blob.
Speaker AAnd you think, okay, I got a lot of days left.
Speaker ANot, not 180, but maybe 150.
Speaker AOkay, I got 150 days left.
Speaker AOkay, that's a blob.
Speaker AI don't have to do that today because I got 149 more days.
Speaker ANo, you have one day at a time.
Speaker AYou have today.
Speaker AThat's what you have.
Speaker APeriod, period, period, period.
Speaker ANow, you can disagree with that.
Speaker AYou can fight about it or you can, but that's all you have.
Speaker AAnd if today ends up being hijacked because you got sick and had to go to the ER, or because somebody wrecked a car or because something else happened, the reflect or whatever, that's okay.
Speaker ALean into it and love it.
Speaker ABut here's the thing.
Speaker AMy question is, in order to do, to lean in and love it when something derails what you planned in the context of your long goal.
Speaker ASo let's say you set a new year's goal.
Speaker AAnd you say, I'm going to do this.
Speaker AAnd you line out what you're going to do every week.
Speaker AAnd then, you know, back down to the days and you prepare and you hit it and then it blows up.
Speaker AHere's the secret.
Speaker AHere's a magic key.
Speaker AThis is worth a billion dollars.
Speaker AHold your breath.
Speaker AGet your pen.
Speaker AWrite it down.
Speaker AYou can have absolute, total control over how each day goes.
Speaker ASay that again.
Speaker AYou can have absolute, total control over how each day goes for you.
Speaker AThat thing happened yesterday, hijacked today.
Speaker AAnd I had the most beautiful experience I could imagine because I choose to be that way.
Speaker ABut it depends on how you prepare yourself.
Speaker AIf you prepare yourself that you're dependent on other things going right, you're finished.
Speaker AYou can't do this because nothing out there is going to go.
Speaker ALike you say, some things will, some things won't.
Speaker ABut we don't control the weather or other people's attitudes or feelings or whether they whip out a credit card and buy whatever you're selling.
Speaker AWe don't control that, do we?
Speaker ANow, here's what I want you to think about.
Speaker AHow do you prepare yourself?
Speaker AYou're a divine being.
Speaker AYou're a holy spirit.
Speaker AYou're divinity.
Speaker AYou're one generation from God.
Speaker ASo how do you, you precious, awesome person that I dearly love, how do you prepare yourself to hit your day or your week, snooze, slop out of bed, grab the phone, distraction, relive an old argument like that is really crappy preparation.
Speaker AIf you want success, it's great preparation if you just want to go with the flow and cruise.
Speaker AOkay, so I'm going to share something I've shared before.
Speaker AHere are some practices that I use, okay?
Speaker AAnd I.
Speaker APlease read this.
Speaker ALiving with Purpose and power.
Speaker AThis is about how to create anything you want, literally, day by day, minute by minute, the rest of the year.
Speaker AThis is.
Speaker AThis is it.
Speaker ASo get that.
Speaker ALiving with purpose and power.
Speaker AAnd if you do, I'd love to.
Speaker ATo hear what you think about it.
Speaker ADon't tell me what you think until you finish it.
Speaker ARead it, try it, and tell me what's happened in your life.
Speaker ASo I use an acronym, SPEM S P M. Spiritual, Physical, emotional, Mental.
Speaker AAnd I go through some activities at the start of each day in each of those areas, some spiritual practices.
Speaker AThe purpose of that is to get myself reminded that without the spiritual power behind all of us, we're nothing.
Speaker AWe're skin bags.
Speaker ARight?
Speaker AWe can't.
Speaker AWe can't do much.
Speaker AWe don't control Much.
Speaker AAnd to the extent we're arrogant and proud and think we got it all handled, I got news for you, you're full of crap.
Speaker AYou might for five minutes, but it'll all fall apart.
Speaker ASo ass is spiritual now.
Speaker AI'm not going to tell you what your spiritual practices are.
Speaker AI meditate, I pray, I read sacred literature and I use my document, ptac, Personal Truth and Commitment, which is a fire breathing dragon of motivation and power.
Speaker AIf you don't have a fire breathing dragon of motivation and power, why not?
Speaker AAll right, physical is what it says.
Speaker ADo little exercise stretches.
Speaker ADo something to honor your body.
Speaker AYou know, I do finger stuff in the morning because I'm piano and I do some martial arts stretches to the extent that I can with my back disc deterioration, which is one of those externalities, but I still do what I can to get my body going.
Speaker AE is emotional.
Speaker AI send messages and tokens of love, connect relationships, because emotional to me includes all those relationships, things.
Speaker ASo I do that on purpose.
Speaker AAnd M is mental.
Speaker ASo I read some in a book or in, you know, certain people that I follow to see what they're talking about.
Speaker AAnd it's never about trivial stuff.
Speaker AOnce in a while it is and that's okay, but it's, you know, inspirational.
Speaker AWho's.
Speaker AWho's thinking a thing that will inspire me and I go look for inspiration and I always find it 100% of the time, never, ever, ever not.
Speaker ASo it's not about control and it's not about rigidity and it's not about lack of spontaneity.
Speaker AIt's not about any of that.
Speaker AIt's about choice and preparing yourself for to be all you can be.
Speaker ASometimes people say, well, that's too rigid and I can't do it and I get too much going on.
Speaker AOkay, you're free to do that.
Speaker ABut as a possibility, I'm suggesting to you that if you take more control and do what you know, prepares you, makes you feel prepared and good, you'll meet challenges and setbacks with more grace and creativity.
Speaker AAnd on the days and times and hours when the wind's at your back, you'll blow your own mind with your productivity and the love and intensity and intention that is infused in everything that you do and say.
Speaker AI want you to hold that.
Speaker ANow the next thing I want to talk about is, okay, how do you handle setbacks and sudden changes?
Speaker ANow, I talked a little bit about that with my example with the cat Rubisco and yesterday being all about, you know, her, her passing and us Having to then, you know, set up cremation and choose urns and, you know, all of those things.
Speaker AAnd involving our little Ukrainian girl in that, because she loved Rubisco.
Speaker AAnd for me, it was also about my wife.
Speaker AMy wife loved that cat.
Speaker AAnd there's a very special story between us, Joy and I, about the cat.
Speaker AAnd so there was a lot of reflection on that and a lot of, you know, tears and work.
Speaker AAnd so the whole day became about that.
Speaker ASo that's interruption, and it was beautiful.
Speaker ASo the question is, those things are going to happen.
Speaker AOkay?
Speaker AAnd my first convo with Joy this morning was to just hug her and ask her how she's doing, how her heart feels, and, you know, what's going on for her to love her and do that, because that's who I am.
Speaker AThat's how we've created our relationship.
Speaker ASo my question here is, let's assume you do part one, which is your awesome, awesome, awesome morning creation.
Speaker ALet's assume you do that.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AThat morning prep is all about how to get your goals clear, your New Year's gifts organized.
Speaker AInstead of lamenting last year's New Year's resolutions, it's about choosing.
Speaker AI'm going to give myself inner peace.
Speaker AI'm going to give myself a bunch of cash for Christmas.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker AI'll tell you what this year's about for me till October 14.
Speaker AIt's about my 300 million people and the number of things that are happening.
Speaker ABlow my mind.
Speaker AI got an email from somebody talking about syndicating my podcast, making an offer to do that, and that might mean some money.
Speaker AGood.
Speaker AIt'll certainly mean sponsorship and those kinds of things.
Speaker AAnd I don't really care about the money.
Speaker AI care about the 300 million.
Speaker ABut that came out of this focus that I have that I'm sharing with you, how to do.
Speaker AThat's where it came from.
Speaker AI was.
Speaker AHad a live stream the other day that went to a million people.
Speaker AHoly moly.
Speaker ASo that's the size of things.
Speaker AAnd those have been created because I'm doing this prep every day.
Speaker AIt's not magic.
Speaker AIt's not luck.
Speaker AIt's creation.
Speaker AAll right, so let's talk about you and your handling of setbacks.
Speaker AWhen something happens that throws you off your game, what do you do?
Speaker ABe honest.
Speaker AWhat do you do?
Speaker AIf it's tiny, you just blow it off.
Speaker AIf it's big.
Speaker ALike, I know people that get thrown off their game because somebody's rude on the road, somebody cuts you off or doesn't let you in or Whatever it is, and you know your boils up and you want to flip them off and stupid.
Speaker AThat's where you start, right there.
Speaker ALove them.
Speaker AI don't know what's going on for that person, but I love them.
Speaker AThat's a game.
Speaker ATry it.
Speaker AI can't do that.
Speaker AYes, you can.
Speaker AYou can learn anything you want.
Speaker AYou learn to be like you are.
Speaker AYou weren't born that way, right?
Speaker ABabies aren't flipping each other off.
Speaker ASo choose some things today, if you don't drive anywhere, you know, emails come that aren't what you wanted.
Speaker ATaxing IRS or candidate CRA sent you a note and it's like, I got to do something late on my tax return.
Speaker AWhatever it is, Grace and love.
Speaker AGrace and love.
Speaker AIt's not pretending and it's not a game.
Speaker AEverything that you have to do and I have to do is just that.
Speaker AIt's a thing I have to do.
Speaker AIt doesn't mean your mission's wrong.
Speaker AIt doesn't mean your goals need to be changed.
Speaker AIt's not an indictment of your personality.
Speaker AIt's not an indictment of your goals or your Persona.
Speaker AIt's just a thing you gotta do.
Speaker AAnd if it moves everything forward a day or two or a week.
Speaker ASo back on track.
Speaker ABack on track in June of 2018.
Speaker ANow, eight years ago, seven years ago, you know, I got sick and I was in the hospital for a month and died and 17 days in a coma.
Speaker AAnd you know, that and rehab afterwards was a lot of work, so that didn't throw off a day.
Speaker AThat threw off two months, right?
Speaker AAnd I found the gift.
Speaker AI leaned into it and I loved it.
Speaker ANow, if all this stuff sounds like mumbo jumbo to you and you're like, I wish I could do that, but I can't, let me help you, because I can teach you to do that and you can learn it fast.
Speaker A90 days from now, you know, what are we?
Speaker AAugust, September, October.
Speaker ABy the 1st of November, by Halloween, you can have a handle on your emotional mastery.
Speaker AYou can have a handle on that.
Speaker AWhere you look for the gift in everything.
Speaker AYou don't blame other people.
Speaker AYou no longer have that anger rising up in you or that frustration or that resignation or that depression that says, I'll never make it.
Speaker AI'm not good enough.
Speaker AYou know how I know this is true?
Speaker ABecause all that was true for me.
Speaker AI lived my first.
Speaker AI left home at 17, my divine intervention.
Speaker AChange happened in 2007.
Speaker ASo I lived that 35 years back, buried in depression, self sabotage.
Speaker AAnd if you, you know, if you want the story, it's in the book Tightrope of Depression.
Speaker AMy I'm the author and that subtitles my journey from darkness, despair and death to light, love, and life.
Speaker ASo I lived in that where everything was derailed and I was never going to be good enough.
Speaker AAnd I destroyed different careers.
Speaker AAnd.
Speaker AAnd so I.
Speaker AWhen I say to you this is possible, I know it because I've walked that road one brick at a time, one rock at a time, one steep grade at a time, one setback at a time.
Speaker AAnd so I am the ultimate catalyst, or alchemist.
Speaker ASorry, I use both those words, sometimes interchangeably.
Speaker ABut an alchemist using magic and science to give you back control of your flipping life.
Speaker ALike, why give it away?
Speaker AAll right, so setbacks, however small they are, are exactly that opportunity.
Speaker AAnd they happen every day.
Speaker ASo we get lots of practice, right?
Speaker AWe get lots of opportunity to practice what we're going to do with setbacks.
Speaker ALittle ones and big ones.
Speaker AIf you have prepared yourself like we talk about in the morning, because that's the key, then dealing with setbacks is not difficult.
Speaker AHere's what we ask.
Speaker AWhat is the gift here?
Speaker ANow, when I knew that cat thing was going to take the day, which I suspected it was, the minute she said anything, I could have said, ah.
Speaker AInstead, I've trained and chosen to be great.
Speaker AHow can we turn this into beauty?
Speaker AThat's what I ask.
Speaker AAnd I meant that.
Speaker AAnd everything disappeared.
Speaker AHow can we turn this into beauty?
Speaker ASo I want you to think about that.
Speaker ADeveloping those kind of habits is the beginning, right?
Speaker AThe emotion, sadness, tears.
Speaker AOh, no, Unexpected, you know, she was 15 or 14 and a half.
Speaker AAlmost 15.
Speaker ABe 15 in September, so right quick.
Speaker AAnd, you know, cats live, what, 12 to 20, occasionally to 21 or two.
Speaker ASo it was a little early, you know, we expected to have a few more years, but she also had ckd, chronic kidney.
Speaker AKidney disease.
Speaker AAnd that was the reason she ultimately couldn't do it.
Speaker AHer kidneys failed.
Speaker ASo the.
Speaker AThe question is, what is the beauty here?
Speaker ANot.
Speaker AI can't wait till this is over.
Speaker AThat is a learned behavior.
Speaker AIf you want to know how to learn it quickly, get a hold of me.
Speaker AContact Form Ellen Fluker Media Read the book Living with Purpose and power.
Speaker AAll the 20 books that I've written, every one is about only one thing.
Speaker AHelping you with what I've learned, because I've walked every one of these roads.
Speaker AI don't write books about stuff I don't understand, don't know, haven't bled over.
Speaker AAnd then I write Them, because I know the things I've learned could be of service.
Speaker ASo that's the first thing is your daily prep.
Speaker AThe second thing is the first question you ask.
Speaker ANo matter what hits you, your mom dies, your brother gets cancer.
Speaker AYou know, my mom dying is fresh.
Speaker AFor me, that happened in April, just a few months ago.
Speaker AGot an email from my sister.
Speaker AShe said, mama graduated.
Speaker AWe called her Mama, not Mom.
Speaker AMama graduated.
Speaker AI knew what she meant.
Speaker AAnd I sat there in the stillness for a moment and waited to connect with it.
Speaker AI asked the very same question, spoke to the divine.
Speaker AThis is a blessing.
Speaker AShe's now reunited with my dad.
Speaker AThis is beautiful.
Speaker AHow can this be good?
Speaker AWhat can I turn?
Speaker AHow can I turn this into joy?
Speaker AAnd in about an hour, I actually felt her spirit.
Speaker AAnd that's significant because if you've read Tightrope, you know some of the details of why that might not be what you'd expect to have happen.
Speaker ABut it did, and it was beautiful.
Speaker ASo that was a choice with the cat or with her?
Speaker AI mean, that could have derailed the day, too.
Speaker AAnd the only thing I did is find out when the funeral was over the next couple days and make plans to go.
Speaker ABut plans to go is three or four days out of the schedule.
Speaker AI loved it.
Speaker AIt was beautiful because I choose it.
Speaker ASetbacks do not derail your mission.
Speaker AHear this.
Speaker ASetbacks don't derail.
Speaker AThey don't even delay your mission.
Speaker AEven though the funeral took three or four days to the travel, everything else and the cat took a day, and I imagine in the next few days, it'll take another day.
Speaker AIt doesn't derail your relationship or it doesn't derail your mission.
Speaker AIt doesn't even delay.
Speaker AChanges your relationship to.
Speaker AAllows you to recognize that externalities are blessings.
Speaker ANow, in the case of a pet or a person in your family, passing and a spiritual connection, you can see with the sadness, which I'm not pretending to deny, you might weep, you might have sadness, you might have an hour of breakdown.
Speaker ADepends on what the thing is.
Speaker ABut your choice to show up as a divine being then empowers you to come back from that and create beauty out of ashes, to build a masterpiece out of a mess.
Speaker ABecause it's not really a mess, it's just a thing.
Speaker ASo what is this year about for you?
Speaker AThis really is several pieces.
Speaker AOne, to think about what you want for New Year's.
Speaker AAnd then the real question is, what?
Speaker AWho do you have to be to take the action day to day, week to week, month to month, to give you, your gift.
Speaker AAnd who do you have to be to deal with the inevitable setbacks, large or small?
Speaker ABecause they're going to come and they're going to come hard, and they're going to come fast sometimes or slow and easy.
Speaker ASo when you have a setback, remember, it doesn't derail your mission.
Speaker AIt.
Speaker AIt reveals your relationship to it.
Speaker ABecause if these things happen and that makes you doubt your mission or your purpose or your goals or your ability, that's the sign to do some work there.
Speaker AWhen you have a real commitment to your, in this case, New Year's gifts or Christmas gifts, when you have a real relationship with that, what those setbacks do is reaffirm, recommit.
Speaker AWhat this thing yesterday did is gave me a beautiful story to tell.
Speaker AThat's true and powerful for myself.
Speaker AI shared it with you.
Speaker ABut for me to look at what actually happened and realize what that reveals.
Speaker ASo it.
Speaker AThese setbacks will.
Speaker AWill reveal for you your relationship to your goals.
Speaker AIf it derails you, you're not committed.
Speaker AIf it makes you think I'll never get there, you're not committed.
Speaker AIf it makes you wonder, what why is this happening to me?
Speaker AYou're not committed.
Speaker ANow, that might sound harsh, but the answer isn't to get mad at me.
Speaker AIt's to get committed.
Speaker AGet committed.
Speaker AYou know what committed is?
Speaker AI will crawl over every piece of broken glass that I have to to get to that goal.
Speaker ANow, you're free at any time to say, you know what?
Speaker AThat's not a goal I want anymore.
Speaker AYou're free to have the learnings of life teach you that you are going in the wrong direction, or it needs just a course correction or a radical pivot.
Speaker AThe lessons of life will do that.
Speaker ABut it's not because I've been beat down.
Speaker AI give up.
Speaker AIt is with careful consideration with you as a divine being in your heart, considering who you want to be in the world and how you want that to show up.
Speaker ALike, I've had all kinds of setbacks over the years with this podcast.
Speaker AOh, I don't want to do this anymore.
Speaker AOh, it's too hard.
Speaker AToo much work on and on and on.
Speaker AAnd by reviewing what I wanted, I want to add good to the world.
Speaker AI want to help people realize they can create their lives like I have.
Speaker AAnd I want to give them the tools to do it.
Speaker AThat commitment every time would over, override, outweigh the setback.
Speaker AAnd it will for you, too, but only if you have your real vision.
Speaker ASo here's the real question.
Speaker AThis when this crap happens and it's going to, will you crumble?
Speaker AAre you going to curse the sky?
Speaker ARight?
Speaker AI don't know.
Speaker AAnd what you've done before now, let's say you've had a habit of being angry at bad drivers or at the Revenue Service Canada Revenue or the IRS or whatever, or your partner or an illness or a business partner or the fact that your sales strategy isn't working or your relationship isn't good.
Speaker AYou can rail and blame and maybe that's been your habit.
Speaker ACursing the sky, cursing God and wishing to die.
Speaker AIt says in the Bible somewhere.
Speaker AIf that's been your habit, I don't care.
Speaker AYou can change it today if you want help.
Speaker AGet a hold of me.
Speaker ARead the books or get a hold of me, but change it because it's so much more fun and empowering.
Speaker AYeah, there's people that love to live in their complaints and love to argue for their limitations and love to live as victims, but they're not very happy.
Speaker AI've never met a person, I have never met a person who lives in that victim blaming place who is actually happy.
Speaker AYou know, you're around him and you just feel joy.
Speaker ANo complain, hard done by, beat down.
Speaker AI could have been a contender, you know, I could have done this if this, that and the other garbage or it can be garbage starting today.
Speaker ASo the question is, when it happens, you crumble or do you recommit with your heart, with your soul, maybe with tears running down your face?
Speaker AI will do this thing.
Speaker AI don't know.
Speaker AYour call.
Speaker AAll right, so let's wrap up here.
Speaker AI want to say out loud, what is the rest of your year about?
Speaker AI've told you what mine is.
Speaker AMine's getting to 300 million by October 14th.
Speaker AAnd in January I'm launching the ultimate life coaching university.
Speaker AIt's a complete recasting of the business and of the profession of coaching from the highest possible place, from the most authentic, powerful place.
Speaker ABecause AI is going to put 95% of coaches out of business by Christmas of 26.
Speaker AThat's what I think.
Speaker AOr sooner and only those who really have the kind of commitment I'm talking about, commitment, vision, leadership, will be able to do stuff that AI can't do.
Speaker APresence and divine pattern and power and really communicate and transmit things that a frequency AI can't touch.
Speaker ABut anyway, so that's my January goal.
Speaker ASo now you know my October and January.
Speaker AI've got three months and three months, not quite, but something like that.
Speaker AAnd I'm committed to those and I don't care how many things break.
Speaker AI don't care how many things get in the way.
Speaker AI am committed to that.
Speaker ASo this is not about my commitment.
Speaker AThose are just examples.
Speaker AAnd I'm just sharing what is yours.
Speaker AWhat is your commitment?
Speaker ABy New Year's, you want my help?
Speaker AWant me to help you get it?
Speaker AIf you're tired of struggling, if you're tired of not having the cash you want.
Speaker AMoney is so easy.
Speaker AEasy to create.
Speaker ACash is laying around to pick up.
Speaker AI know you hear that kind of crap all the time and you're like, yeah, scam.
Speaker ANo, it actually is.
Speaker AMoney follows value.
Speaker AThe question is, how do you create value so that people pour money on you?
Speaker AIt's not that complicated.
Speaker AYou have infinite worth and you have infinite value.
Speaker ABut if you're not rolling in dough, you're not using it, that can change.
Speaker ASo what is your year about?
Speaker AWhat is the rest of this year about for you?
Speaker AI've shared mine.
Speaker AWrite it down, say it out loud, say it in the mirror.
Speaker AMake a promise to the future.
Speaker AYou have a convo.
Speaker ASit down and have a convo with the future.
Speaker AYou right there.
Speaker AHave a cup of tea, you know, if you're in England or a drink, a soda, whatever.
Speaker AI don't drink anymore.
Speaker AYou know that.
Speaker ASo.
Speaker ASo sit down and have a sandwich, tea and crumpets.
Speaker AI don't care with that person.
Speaker AAnd, and talk about you as having achieved that thing.
Speaker AHave a convo with him.
Speaker AMaybe.
Speaker AIf you're a coach and you're hearing me say 95% of coaches are going to be out of business in 16, 17, 18 months, maybe the idea of your ultimate life coaching university appeals to you and you're saying, who do I actually have to be?
Speaker AWhat are the step by step processes to get me in the top 5%?
Speaker ABecause 95% are going to be out of work and looking for something else to do.
Speaker AReally?
Speaker ANot maybe.
Speaker AAnd only the 5% who have particular skills and ability that come from the kind of work I'm talking about are going to be left with clients and they're going to be in high demand and well paid because you are able to do things no other coach can.
Speaker ANow, whether you're a coach or not, the same process applies.
Speaker AYou need to create.
Speaker AYou don't need to do anything.
Speaker ABut if you want those goals, you have to create the person.
Speaker AAnswer the question.
Speaker AWho do I have to be to have a better relationship, to have more money, to be more loving, to not be ashamed when I look in the mirror, to forgive myself of all this crap I'm carrying around about stuff other people did or I did.
Speaker ALike that is the question.
Speaker AWho do you have to be?
Speaker AAnd if you're not that today, then the time to change is to start right this second.
Speaker AThis is your invitation.
