Inspiration is not transformation. How many times have you been on fire to do a thing and five minutes or five hours later, and certainly by the next morning, it's gone.Welcome to the show. Tired of the hype about living the dream? It's time for truth. This is the place for tools, power, and real talk.So you can create the life you dream and deserve your ultimate life. Subscribe, share, create. You have infinite power. Hello, and welcome to your ultimate life. We are on the air.Yeah, I'm here to help you create a life of purpose, prosperity and joy. It's the only thing I do. I find people that want to create $100,000 from their life story.I find people that want to live the ultimate life in other ways. I define that as purpose, prosperity, and joy. If you had words to describe your ultimate life, what would they be?You know, when I ask people that, and I do it all the time, I hear words like health. And that usually comes from people who have or have had significant health challenges. I hear freedom. And that comes from people that might be working a taxing job or two or three jobs to make ends meet or try to create their, you know, what they need. I've heard cash, because I just need more money. Because that comes from the idea that if I just had enough money, everything else would be okay. And that is one of the biggest lies in the universe. But I hear that a lot. What are your words for your ultimate life? So today I want to talk about inspiration and transformation, okay?Because I'm a coach and so I am in the soul, spirit, money, business, personal transformation. Work, transformation, big change. You were here, you want to be there, right? Diving into that light that's right behind that door. You know, that's transformation. And I know that word is overused like nuts. I know that. But it's still what it's about. Maybe you have a different word. Change, Growth. Right.Walking, leveling up. All those kinds of things get said a lot.So this next several weeks, we're going to talk about the most strategic and powerful thing, tool, process that I have ever discovered. To take the changes that you have in your life, the things you've grown from, what you've learned to do, the problems you've overcome, the mountains you've climbed, the broken glass you've crawled over, and turn that into impact in the world. Income in your pocket and a great feeling of fulfillment in your heart.Impact in the world, income in your pocket and a fabulous feeling of fulfillment. Wow. Fabulous feeling of fulfillment. We are alliterative today in Your heart. Okay, here's a mistake people make. They go to a conference, especially one that is full of people, loud music, and a lot of, you know, stimulating things. And they have a spectacular time. And they come away thinking they can conquer the world, sell a million dollars worth of something, or do whatever the conference was designed to do. And then after they get off the plane and get back in their own life, you know, real life shows up. You know what that's like. And all of a sudden all those. All those goals that you set seem difficult and you don't make it happen. Why is that? Because inspiration is not transformation.I get inspired all the time. You, hey, you know, one of the things that's fun about social media is. Is a lot of whiners and complainers. I know that you do, too.You see them all over the place. That's not fun.Something that is fun about social media is all the beautiful, inspirational memes and quotes and talks and examples and even movies and stories that are put up there. I love those. I love to read them. You know why? Because it reminds me of who we really are. And those things do not do anything other than short term.Maybe tear jerking, maybe warm fuzzy heart, unless it's accompanied with something else. So I want to talk about that. And what we're really focused on is that truth. What it takes to turn information into transformation. What does it take to turn those moments of inspiration into a changed life, the ultimate life. Okay, so we're going to honor breakthroughs. That's the buzzword, breakthrough. When I was going to.When I worked at a company, there was a guy we hired and paid him a boatload of cash to work these workshops all through the company. It was called Breakthrough Focus. And they were fun and interesting and did exactly nothing unless there was a process afterwards to make them real.So we're going to honor the breakthrough, but we're not going to worship it, okay? We're going to set up the real process to turn breakthroughs into real progress.Okay, Here's a lie we keep buying, and this is going to irritate you, maybe especially those that sell it. But a breakthrough is not a transformation. Straight up it ain't. If that irritates you, tough. Now, a breakthrough can be real. Don't get me wrong.A revelation can be real. A healing moment can be real. A moment of absolute clarity can be real. A spiritual experience can be and is real. All those things are true. But none of those automatically rebuilds your life or resets it. They only last as long as they last unless we do something with it. Because here's the truth.A breakthrough opens a door wide open, but it does not walk your life through it, okay? It sets up a possibility. You go to an event, hear a song, have a session, read a book, experience a major awakening and you feel free. And you may actually be freer than you were a minute, a day, an hour ago.And then you go home to the same calendar, the same noise, same spouse, same business, same habits, debts, fears, problems, language and old emotional defaults and nothing changes. You just sort of gradually slide back down into it. Now the question isn't, was the opening real? Of course the opening was real. The real issue is, did your life change in measurable, powerful ways? Did you achieve long term sustainable results that are different than you had? Okay, so relief is not reconstruction, Same idea.Feeling free is not the same as living free. You know that a moment can awaken us, but only a process can rebuild us, right?Okay, so let's talk about how to do this, because I'm not here to diss any of that stuff at all. We, we find these moments really seductive because they feel good. They feel like you can breathe, ah, suddenly for the first time, maybe in a day, week, month, year, decade, maybe your whole life. Because they can be really intense. They might be emotional, you might cry or dance or sing. They might feel sacred. You might feel connected to the divine. And they often bypass years of resistance and touch something really deep. People use the word deep and bypassing resistance. All those things get said a lot. And I'm not saying they don't. They do and they touch something or can elemental and maybe burn some stuff out of our core. And that's a beautiful beginning. Now I'm going to list a few ways that they can happen. These are not all of them and you probably have some or many. They can come through music. That's one of my favorites. They can come through prayer. That's another one of my favorites. They can come through meditation. That's another one of my favorites. They might come through sound healing. I got a couple of friends that are really good at that. They meet with people and they sing or make noises, vocal noises, beautiful vocal noises, melodies and frequencies that touch people deeply. Right. They can come through breath work where you sit with someone and do a certain series and sequence of breathing. It can come through psychedelic ceremonies. They can come through near death experiences. I've had those breath work I've done. Okay. They can come from a conference, it can come from a talk, they can come from a YouTube video. They can come from a book, a word from God, you know, I died and had those conversations. They can come from any moment of truth.I am not subtracting any of their power and value because they're a necessary starting point. But they're only the first point. So I'm not against moments of inspiration. I am all for them. I seek them. I create them for myself and others.I live by them. And I've had moments that change the entire trajectory of my life. But the danger in that is the exaggeration, because sometimes we. We get the idea.I went to the ceremony and now I'm done. I touched God. I touched the universe. Now I know. Maybe you do know, but that doesn't translate into action most of the time. And here's my experience personally and with lots of folks.I have a friend, client, who had gone to at least a dozen psychedelic ayahuasca ceremonies, both in South America and in other places, and always needed another one, Always needed another one. And I asked, what are. You know, what has changed because of the last? Well, we just need a little more clarity. The clarity isn't the engine.I had the moment, therefore I'm done. I felt the truth. I've seen the universe, therefore I live. The truth, usually not true, not because of bad intention, but the preponderance of the past pours all water all over the fire unless we do a set of other things, which we'll talk about later. I saw the possibility, therefore I have become the person. Boy, if that were true. Yeah, it's just not. I talk to so many people. In fact, I have another client who goes to all kinds of events and festivals and ceremonies and everything else, and then comes back to the same pile of problems and the same frantic, you know, nervous state, shut down and all kinds of stuff because the rest of the process is missing. I was released. Therefore, the structure of my life is automatically different. Any version of those things is only partially true. And the part is a lot smaller than the not true part. Okay? The moment of inspiration is the first step in a liberation event. So this is where we get deceived again.I want to reiterate the moment itself is holy, that the struggle comes from pretending. The moment is the whole journey. It just opens a door for you. You can see the mountain in a flash, but you still have to climb it. I just.I love that the lightning strikes. The entire scene is lit up like nothing. Lights things up like a bolt of lightning, right? It's pitch black. A flash of lightning. And the entire scene is momentarily illuminated in brilliant, brilliant light and you see the whole thing. But you still have to climb the mountain, walk the trail. Inspiration gives you access. It does not give you the architecture and process to get moving. So there's five parts to a full liberation event. And it doesn't happen in a moment. So the word event happens. It's like you have a three day event or a five day event, or you could consider your whole life an event. So I don't want to say an event. It's not a moment. The true liberation event's got five parts. The first is the moment of inspiration we've been talking about. The second thing is a commitment to create from that new inspiration. A commitment to me is a bulletproof promise, a life and death agreement.Bulletproof, right? I'm going to do this or die now. Things change sometimes, but we give up on our commitments way too soon. The third piece, after a commitment, is a plan for change, right? It doesn't. It's not like, well, I'm just going to do better. And you go home with no idea how that's going to work because your life before was full and so there have to be trades. This stuff has to stop. And I have to start doing these things. I'm going to replace this with that. And these relationships have got to end or be transformed. There's all kinds of things that do need to take place or won't stay. Step four is a source of continual power.Rebuilding anything, whether it's a remodel in the house or rebuilding your life, it takes energy, right? I remember when I lived in Phoenix many years ago in 19. What year was that? I think it was 93 or 4.I did a significant kitchen remodel and put in all new cabinets and took out part of a wall and created a counter, you know, sort of a countertop to eat at and that kind of stuff. And you know, it took weeks.I mean, we had to design it and then had to get a builder and a cabinet maker and installer and, you know, all that stuff. And fortunately I had one guy that did most of the pieces. But, you know, all that had to change or. Right. It wasn't anything. So that's a source of continual powers. Number four. And the fifth one is a process for consistency. So let's go over these a little bit.Part one, like I said, a moment of inspiration is the opening. That's where we start. And that's what we've been talking about. The flash of light that illuminated the possibility, the Sacred interruption, the pattern interrupt. It's the moment the old prison cracks. The prison door was open. But then we got to get to part two, right? You have to have a commitment to create. You can have the prison door blown open and you walk outside and you look at the landscape and go, yeah, you know, it was a lot more comfortable in there when I didn't have to make these decisions and do this stuff. And back in the corner you go. And that happens more often than you would even imagine. People say, oh, that was amazing. Oh, that really changed me.Oh, I feel lighter. The weight is gone, the story is gone. The trouble is gone. The trauma's gone. I know what's possible now. And there's.Those are necessary, but they're insufficient. What they do not say then is, okay, this right here is what I will build. This is where I'm going. This exactly is who I'll become. This is what changes starting today. And this, and this is what I will no longer tolerate. That language and those commitments are so important. Then part three comes, which is a plan for change. If I say, well, I'm going to paint the house, I am no longer willing to tolerate these drab colors. I'm going to change the house or paint the house. If I don't plan, if I don't figure out what the new color scheme is, if I don't start saving some money or getting some money to buy a lot of paint. And paint's expensive. 20, 30, 40, 50 A gallon, depends on what you buy. And indoor, outdoor, all that stuff, right? There's got to be a plan.Or it'll just sit, it'll slide to the back burner and then off into the sunset. It can't be a vague hope. It can't just be an inspiration. It can't be some. I'll do better. It's got to be a plan. And here are some of the characteristics of a real plan. What changes on your calendar? What changes do you make in your offer? If you're marketing something online, Excuse me.What changes are they going to be in your marriage? What changes are they going to be in your language? What changes are they going to be in how you take care of your body? What changes are you going to make in how you either earn or spend your money or earn or spend your time? What changes are there going to be in the way you speak externally and or internally? Because the internal dialogue is actually the most important. What's going to change in how and what you create? All of those things are necessary Part 4 is a source of continual power. Because you know, when's the afternoon still going to come, right?Things just keep going. Resistance is going to come. The old self is going to come knocking. Ding, ding, ding, ding. This is hard. I don't want to do this. You know what, you've done this before. How many times have you gone to a conference, read a book, heard a speaker, had a coaching session or a therapy session or both or whatever and then, and you say, you know what, I've got to do this. And then it doesn't really happen because it was not a source of power. You have to have a source of power. We've talked a number of times.I use a document called a personal truth and commitment document. Ptac. It's mighty. It burns the walls down. Every time I use it, the house lights on fire, my soul lights up and I levitate three feet off the floor.Spiritually I haven't yet levitated my body three feet off the floor, but my spirit every single day. So that's my source of continual power.Anyway, that source of power is key because after you have a plan, you've got to keep moving on the road because the resistance comes. You need power way beyond just the memory of the event. I'll give you an example. In 2018 I died at Flatlined in the ICU.I had a fatal illness infection in both lungs and in the bloodstream, a necrotizing superbug called MRSA which you probably heard of. So it flatlined me, killed me. I was dead on in on the stretcher in the icu.And then I had three conversations with God at the door between life and eternity. One of them was about, you know, going on or coming back and doesn't matter what the others were. It just for this episode. You can read about it in the book Meeting God at the Door. Conversations, choices and commitments of a near death experience. But anyway I use that because it was a mind blowing, world altering, can't be described in language, event. And I still needed power to keep going because the memory of the, the event, all the details are really clear.I remember it, I remember what it looked like, how it felt and everything. But I have to have an ongoing source of power to make it real. And that for me is that personal truth document part 5 is a process for consistency. If you're going to learn to do and then become a new person, you've got to have a process to keep you consistent. And you can describe that any way you want. But I think about like, you know, a coach A coaching container, some accountability mechanism so you can measure and see where you are on the road to growth and change. The moment opens the door.Commitment chooses the direction, the plan shows the road, builds the road, power fuels the walk and the process is keeps you moving. So all five of those are necessary to create a true liberation event. Most people stop at part one and they rejoice in that and feel good about it.But that's shining trophies from the past. It's not. It's not going to get you where you want to go. And people wonder why, why they're not getting what they want. And then what do they seek?Another event, another book, another psychedelic experience, another shot in the arm, kick in the pants, whatever you want to call it. Okay, so you don't need another awakening if you have not been able to or you refuse to build from the last one. That might sound harsh, but it's true. Okay, now. Now that we've got that done, I'm going to say, so what in the context of story. When I started way at the beginning, I said, the most important gift you have or I have is the story of our becoming, right? The story of your overcoming, the story of your struggles, the story of your victory. Even if you're not done, none of us are right.Using the choices that you've made, failures and successes. That's how you can make the most income impact and have the most fulfillment in the world. There's no better way. End of story, end of process. But most people don't and won't do it. So your life story, I call it the story of your becoming. It's not like a memoir, it's not an autobiography. It's not a wine fest. It's not. Not a wine.I said wine. W H I N E It's not a whining thing. It's not pointing fingers, it's not being angry. It's none of those things. It is a careful examination of what are the things that happen to you, Whether they're you, whether you did them, or circumstance or other people. It is a choice about what it meant.Usually it's first a recollection about what it meant then and until we've all done a lot of work, what when something happens to us, what it means at the time is often we get angry, we blame and that sort of thing. What we choose to do with it is the next piece. So what happened? All the things that happened to us, what those things meant about us, about the world, about possibility. And then what we chose to take from those events, because that's where the strength comes. Okay? If you.If you try to lift something and you can't, and you say that's an event. I tried to move this and I couldn't. What you chose or I chose could be, I'm going to go to the gym or.Or adopt another workout, a workout routine, because I want to be able to lift that. So that could be what I chose, what I became. I became someone who could do that, lift that thing twice, double that weight, because I said so.I know that's a silly example, but it's no different than you have a marriage and it fails, and then you want to have another relationship and you say, what am I going to do different here? Who do I need to become? What needs to happen so that this one succeeds? And I don't go around that same treadmill. You also think about what you know now. So you start with what happened, what you did, what you chose, what you learned, what you know now.And from that ball of questions, you now have something to give. And that something is worth a billion dollars to the right group of people because they need to hear your voice.Maybe they relate to you in a particular way. Maybe it's your age or your generation or where you grew up or the set of experiences that you had in your life.I see over and over again 20 people that all teach transformation. And they all talk about the same things that I do. And when I speak, it appeals to a certain group of them. When someone else speaks, it appeals to a different group. Why? Because our voices are different. And I don't mean just the sound of the coming out of my mouth.I mean the voice that we have in the world is different. The experiences are different, the energy is different. And that truth means that there are a group of people waiting specifically for you.Your voice, you. Your story and what you have to share. Okay?Because all of that other stuff, what happened to you and what you did and what you chose, what you overcame, and all the rest now turns into what you can offer, what you can give and. Or sell and. Or create a business around. And the business might be something you sell online, it might be speaking, it could be workshops, it could be a training. It could be all kinds of things. There's 50 different ways you can monetize this and create power and value in the world. So moment of inspiration becomes really value valuable when it is integrated into the story of your becoming. And you have the other four parts right. Without integration, all it becomes is a memory. You know, Going back to my meeting God at the door. It's just a memory of something extraordinary that happened. But if I don't have those other parts and create something valuable in my own life, and then to offer others from it, all it is, is a memory. And that's not what these moments are intended to be. They're intended to be stepping stones for growth then intended to equip you and me to serve and bless others lives. That's what they're intended for.It is an integral part of the story, of your becoming. So when you integrate those things, you get authority. Not because you have letters behind your name and you took this or that class, because you have the truth of experience. You've lived through a storm, right? If you think about all kinds of physical things, a person who lives in an area, who knows the snowstorms and the winter storms or whatever, you can be way more of a reliable guide than someone who studied it somewhere else. The scars that you carry, the pain that you have endured, that's your value. And you have what no one else can have.Because it's your voice, your life and your experience. That's where writing the books that I talk about all the time matter. It's not about memoir, autobiography.Somebody's going to feel good and marvel at you. That's not what any of this is about. It's not to get brownie points or social status. It is to organize and write down what you have to offer and share. That's the key, organizing it.And get figured out what you truly have to offer and how do you offer it in a way that you can make a big impact and make money if you want to. That's the real power of this story process. So a book in my mind, in my experience, not just in my mind, in my experience, is the most strategic and valuable way to do this. And the reason, because it forces you to answer books. A monologue, right? It forces us to answer the questions, what really happened? What did I actually learn? What pattern in my life and story did I discover? What truth did I earn? What victory did I claw my way to? And then next, who needs this information?Who needs this energy? Who needs this assurance? Who needs this encouragement? And that becomes the place or the path that you can make such a difference, where you can make such a difference. It requires you to think of that because the book's a monologue. So here's a couple of ways to think about this.A book is where your inspiration becomes structure for someone else. It's where your struggling Becomes a blueprint for someone else's victory. Writing is not just dictating or typing. It's integration.Somebody said once writing is the doing of part of thinking. I don't know who originated it. I heard it in a mastermind I belong to 10 or 12 years ago.Your story also becomes power when it stops being a memory and starts becoming service. See, most people never realize they have such opportunity to turn their story into service. And when you turn it into service, you rescue lives, you make money, and boy, does it feel good to be of value. Okay, so here's some challenges I want to. I want to offer you, and these are kind of confrontational. What inspiration have you wasted?Ah, isn't that heart wrenching? What inspiration have you wasted? What breakthrough did you celebrate but never built from? What truth did you receive but never obeyed? Those are painful questions. And I even got a couple more. I'm not done. What door opened for you that you never walked through? When I think about that, and the answer is simple.Forgive yourself and walk through now. Not a moment of shame, Not a no moment of flagellation, Not a moment of oh, I should have done.Forget that you are where you are and it's time to move. What story are you carrying that has no structure to help people with? Those are really important questions. If you want to create the ultimate life and live in purpose, prosperity, and joy. And if you want to have the life you have, create income, impact, and that fabulous, fun, warm, fuzzy feeling of meaning and value in your heart. All right, so here's the deal. This. I asked those questions not to make you feel guilty because that doesn't do anything, but I did ask him so you'd get honest.Because some people are addicted to inspiration because it feels good, right? It creates dopamine and lets you feel changed without requiring you to build. It's like signing up for a gym and then not going at all or going very often. So if I or you keep chasing the next opening because I refuse to build anything from the last blast of inspiration, you're not growing, right? You're simply consuming spiritual entertainment. Slap in the face. Argue with me or join me. Okay, you don't want to just consume spiritual entertainment. You want to make a difference. And you're called to make a difference. And you matter right here, right now.So here's an invitation for you if you know right this minute that you are called to do something in the world, if you have a yearning, I'm here to serve someone. And the struggles and scars and battering of your previous life, have taught you valuable things, have brought you to a place where you know you have something to offer. And you're not doing it yet. You're letting your opportunities just pass you by. Water under the bridge. Now, again, this is not about guilt or shame. This is an invitation about what to do now. So think about the moment of inspiration we talked about at the top. This is a moment for you right now. Your life is valuable. Your stories matter. You can have income, impact, and a fabulous feeling of being of service using your story. You can have that. I don't care if you knew that before and didn't do anything. That isn't what we're talking about. What we're talking about now is right this minute. Are you willing to create something right now from the gold that has been in your life?Okay, so remember, if you keep chasing the next opening because you refuse to build from the last one, you're not growing. You're chasing a spiritual high, some spiritual entertainment that comes and goes. So let's not do that. All right, here's what I want to invite you to. A couple of times a year, I have a challenge called Dream It, Build it, Write it. And this isn't just writing a book. It's about mining the gold in your life.Mining the gold in your life and turning it into a book, a platform, keynote speeches, products, and services that will inspire and impact thousands, tens of thousands, perhaps even millions of people. It will pay you well, and it will give you that feeling of doing something really meaningful. This is the very thing that I do and have done for many years. In fact, I did it often enough that that's how I ended up creating the challenges is because I was helping people with their stories. And I thought, I got to do this for more people. All right? This is not because you need another event. So here's an event. Dream buildwrite it.com.The event is actually called Dream It, Build it, write it. But the URL is Dream build write it dot com.Go there right now and explore with me the possibility of the power of your own personal story, the possibility of the power of the story of your becoming. Let me show you how you can turn that into a business, a powerful platform, and make all the difference in the world you can imagine.Because in that challenge, here's what we're going to do. We're going to identify the story of your becoming. If you haven't done that already, we're going to do it.The next thing we're going to do is we're going to stop minimizing what you've lived because most people just minimize their own experience. Yeah, it wasn't that big of a deal. That's not true. It's never true. All right, the third thing we're going to do is extract the message. So we're going to examine the events of your life in terms of how you got where you are as a person yearning to serve, do good, make a difference, and we're going to extract the message you have, and then we're going to begin building the book. And I again, I say book because it is the most powerful and strategic way to think about and to go through this work. And the reason that it is, is, like I said, it's a monologue. And so you have to think about structuring it in a way that people can follow and they can fall into. Right. We're also going to see the authority inside your story. You've lived a life different than anyone else's, and that means your lessons and the learning you have is also different than anyone else. And it's going to stay there in the closet of your mind unless you decide to do something.
